What is The Brotherhood?

The Brotherhood is for the chosen.

You do not choose the brotherhood, it chooses you.

The flame sees all, and chooses the worthy to hold it's fire.

Those chosen by the flame are not bound by title or blood, but by the heat that forges them.

Each one is tested — through creation, through loyalty, through the quiet courage to build when others only watch.

The Brotherhood is where these souls gather, drawn together by a spark that seeks its reflection in others.

Some write. Some hold. Some simply speak truth into the hall.

All serve the same fire.

To stand within it is to be tempered; to remain is to burn with purpose.

Yet beyond our circle, the embers of the wider world have grown cold.

The forges that once roared with creation now flicker in apathy.

Hive — the place that gave us voice — has forgotten its own fire.

The Brotherhood was not born to watch it fade,

but to remember what it means to burn.

But before we can ignite something new, we must face the truth of what has cooled.

Hive is Broken.

It is no secret that hive is completely broken in its current state.

Those that have been here for many years know it all too well.

And that is because we lack real innovation.

And it shows.

There has been nothing of value built here since forever. Our stagnating price only confirms that.

We have stagnated whilst the world has moved on, and we are by far cutting edge anymore.

We were once a pioneering blockchain of the social finance space and a thriving economy of builders and entrepreneurs, however we are a shadow of that now.

It is absolutely disgusting that we have let ourselves get in this state. From cutting edge, to lagging behind.

Hive is really suffering and I can see it at these crucial pain points:

Lack of foundation / building / risk-reward APRs

There is no building on hive. Nothing to get excited over. Nothing to see here. Just stake your tokens, and earn.

Most people in crypto aren't here for that.

They come for the dopamine hits, the high APRs, the big win-lose scenario's. The most exciting times in my life in crypto have not been on hive.

We need excitement as well as safety to become thriving.

But we don't build anything new.

And when we do build (guilty as charged!) it's always at the cost of the curation rewards -- which isn't really exciting considering curation is 10% APR at high-best.

Hive is dull.

Boring.

There's hardly any drama here anymore either.

I want High APR, massive Drama, some random newbie coming and earning $300,000 on a post.

This is what gains eyeballs.

We have lost that edge.

The human edge.

And because of that..

No direction / Lack of belief

We lack any sort of direction on hive.

None whatsoever.

Decentralization is awesome, but there needs to be a helm master pulling us in the right direction otherwise we just flail around like Octopus legs never really making any traction whatsoever.

On Steem we had Ned. We had a face. Everyone knew Ned.

On Hive we have blocktrades -- yes. I am actually pro blocktrades because I know him and his team are always working hard to secure the tech. If you read his posts and see what he's up to then they are always working under the hood.

But he's not a spotlight person. And this is what we sorely lack. Someone to take the spotlight.

Someone who works with marketing agencies and looks good (like Ned did) and pulls in the crowd. People just aren't interested in us because we lack any sort of real marketing whatsoever.

Our marketing is done by hundreds of little users and because they have small followings no-one cares or notices.

Our marketing choices lack structure, foresight, and oversight.

And to top it all off most people who make it big on hive -- like leo for example, then abandon us.

I'm not entirely sure why this is the case but I expect it probably has something to do with top collusion.

Which brings me onto my next pain point:

Collusion at the top

We pride ourselves on being a highly decentralised community that puts the little guy first. But if you dig a little deeper then you will find one of hive's stinkiest little secrets is that our top 20 witnesses all vote for each other.

There's no breaking into that.

Most top 20 witnesses have 7-11 massive votes that secure their top spot, and the community voting is barely recognisable.

That means it doesn't matter what the community thinks or wants, it only matters what 7-11 people think.

This is why we see Rally cars get pushed through for disgusting funding when 98% of the community don't want it, and speak out against it all the time.

But it doesn't matter.

It only cares what just over 10 people think.

We aren't decentralised in the slightest, not by a long shot.

And it's why people come here and take one look at that and decide not to invest. It's a big risk putting your finances in the hands of so few people.

This is not decentralization.

And because of that we now have:

Bad Actors

We have people here who like to guard and control.

It doesn't invite, it hoards and it restricts, and it is not inviting in the slightest.

It's no secret that once you join hive; a free and open place to share your thoughts and feelings, you are suddenly pounded with the very real realisation that you are struck with an enormous amount of rules by those that guard the reward pot.

The kicker is that it shouldn't be theirs to guard.

Bad actors who are blackhat-farming? Yes. We need to be protected from bad behaviour.

But legit people who try and members that have projects who have people delegating their hive to them to achieve their mission?

No that shouldn't be theirs to touch.

All of this discourages people from joining us in totality.

We are leaking users, rather than welcoming them.

But I have thought up a solution.

From the ashes of a silent forge, I offer a new design—one that turns community itself into motion.

The solution.

My solution is this:

I have created a simple yet revolutionary design — a way to turn our Discord community into a living, breathing Web3 engine.

Every word, every act of loyalty, every spark of creativity inside our walls will be translated into value on-chain.

We call it Pyresoul — the bridge between presence and proof, between participation and prosperity.

The more you contribute to our community, the more your light is recorded in the chain itself.

The minute you join our community and speak -- your actions are recorded, your presence noted, and your energy becomes value.

From researching us deeply and buying in hard, to simply joining our community and saying "Hi" -- each action merit based and will be rewarded accordingly.

You don’t need to be a financial consultant to see how this works.

Value given freely creates value returned.

Pyresoul simply codifies what the wise have always known: when you feed the flame, the flame feeds you.

We once again sit at the frontier of social and finance.

And this is only the beginning.

Pyresoul Tokenomics

Pyresoul is a revolutionary new defi solution only on hive that's guardrailed by art.

Pyresoul is built on Newton's three laws of motion

These are:

First Law (Law of Inertia):

An object remains at rest, or continues to move at a constant velocity in a straight line, unless acted upon by an external force.

Equation: ΣF=0 ⇒ v=constant

Second Law (Law of Acceleration):

The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass.

Equation: F=m*a

Third Law (Action–Reaction Law)

Statement: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Equation: F12 = -F21

I've applied these laws in this fasion:

  • Breaking Inertia: Pyresoul is the external force to restart Hive’s motion.

  • Mass Creates Pull: The more value seeded, the stronger the gravitational attraction.

  • Opposite Reactions Become Fuel: Exits and withdrawals strengthen the pot for those who remain.

Given that I've been hinting at a "All great fires need a spark" for a long time now:

The @pyresoul pot will be stacked to the tune of thousands of hive daily. This cannot be bargained, bribed, or coerced.

I will be doing this daily regardless of what you do or what you say to me.

I will do this for roughly 13 weeks (or more if needed) until I can power down the 10% rewards from the Flame.

Every good inferno needs a spark to ignite the flame.

Newton's law of universal gravitation states that:

F = G * (m1 * m2) / r^2)

In theory that is:

The greater the mass, the stronger the pull.

The theory behind Bitconnect in 2018 was that their marketing team was guerrilla.

You must have seen the meme's about people hiring their marketing team.

But I have since realised it was because of their mass and the opportunity they offered without people quite understanding that it was a horrific pyramid scheme that conned millions.

The sheer gravity of people involved was great enough to suck everyone in large quantities, and that number only tripled daily.

Their site wasn't the greatest, but that's not what mattered. It was the pull of the financial reward.

We are going to create a similar mass and pull in the brotherhood built by real energy, and real value, that's honest and straightforward.

Every day the Pyresoul pot will be seeded regardless of what the brotherhood earns.

The Pyresoul Pot is split into four sections and will disperse like so:

  • 30% BRO holders
  • 30% LGN holders
  • 30% Delegators
  • 10% Discord Chatters.

The reason for this split is so that all our natives are adequately rewarded. I have also kept 10% for discord because there are roles on there that earn passively because of their active involvement -- such as Oathkeepers.

Also included in that 10% split is a section for chatters that want to positively engage with us and have positive interactions.

The reason I did it this way is because:

Not everyone is an artist

One of Hive's failings is that it offers financial incentive for post rewards -- whilst this is an incredibly good thing for crypto and onboarding on the whole, it forces people who are not necessarily artists into a contract of being one.

If you asked yourself this honestly on hive. If you had enough to live on and your life was good, and you earned regularly -- would you still write?

This is what I ask myself regularly.

It also forces the daily post conundrum. I don't like posting daily myself. Sometimes I have a whole month creative block -- yet hive forces you into creating content daily.

This damages that creative process rather than elevates it.

I have wondered lots as to why Hive doesn't retain the users that it should and I think it's mostly down to the low rewards and high energy needed to post daily.

Curation also takes two hours. Curation should be a very enjoyable event.

Many people do not have the time to curate, so they outsource this to bots and friends. Curation in my eyes should be personal, and enjoyable.

Not a task.

This has bottlenecked us into a place where we elevate curators and forget about the artists. We have this the wrong way around.

Curation shouldn't be like that.

We need readers. Not more artists.

However, it's not a bad thing to want a way to easily grow your pot -- this shouldn't be discouraged nor disincentivised.

Which is why the Pyresoul pot rewards token holders also. If you hold our tokens (BRO/LGN) then you will earn hive passively.

No need to write to earn hive, just bear positive weight in our community and you will earn it passively.

At The Brotherhood we know and understand that everyone wants to contribute in their own way but do so in different ways.

Some add via discord with positive communication.

Some want to delegate to us,

Some don't have the time and want to support us via buying our tokens

All should be welcome to add meaningfully in their own way.

Revolutionary Defi

The Pyresoul pot is designed to recycle endlessly.

Whilst it doesn't seem like this at first, if you look closer into the deeper mechanics behind it -- it needs a catalyst to properly activate it.

The catalyst being seed funds straight into the pyresoul pot daily.

This means that if the pot is seeded daily then all of a sudden delegation to our projects (whether Brofi or legionsupport) becomes the best APR by a large margin on hive almost overnight.

You will earn hive for your delegation.

We have dropped our token delegation services because we would like to encourage you to hold our token rather than sell it.

Both BRO and LGN will earn hive, and lots of it.

This then creates a tremendous pull to delegate to our projects -- whether that's BRO or LGN, it won't matter.

You will actively watch your friends who delegate to us walk away with LOTS of hive daily, and that pull will be tremendous.

The pull to delegate to us and walk away with lots of hive daily will be huge.

This will then create a supercluster of accounts delegating to our main voters which will solely vote on The Flame.

The Flame is an exclusive members only community filled with artists the community have personally curated over the last 4 months.

The Flame takes a 10% attribution from Author rewards to ensure the growth of our projects, which will be put straight into the Pyresoul pot for redistribution.

This doesn't seem much at first but if you think about the technicals behind it:

If we have 20 Authors daily with $50 rewards -- then that is an extra $100 to the pyresoul pot daily.

Of course, we will work up to that.

And then the cycle continues.

Growing every week,

Turning into a super cycle.

Risks / Guardrails

The Pyresoul pot is inaccessible. Only a few people have the keys to it, and only they will ever have the keys to it.

The pot will be filled daily to protect our community from hacks and drains -- limiting the effective amount someone can take at any one time.

These rails protect us from the the two main factors in how Defi has traditionally fallen apart:

  1. Bad actors -- such as big whales taking 90% of the pot and dumping everything on everyone's heads. Because the pot being inaccessible then it cannot be drained. The pot only gives.

  2. Bank runs -- Everyone has been in a defi project before when it gets drained and then everyone rushes to get their money. With our system you can only access the pot via delegation and token ownership -- that way if you pull out the pot only gets bigger for everyone else. AND tokens sales effect nothing.

Eventually, the flame will act as the fuel to this pot. The system in theory should only get larger and larger rather than smaller and smaller.

I have selected a group of writers that would burn on the Flame whether they are earning $0.0001 or $100 per post. They have demonstrated this to me before there was any money to see.

This means the system I have build should run indefinitely. With people that write for writings sake rather than for reward.

This will in turn fuel the pot and the system turns forever.

The Flame

The Flame is our engine.

Just like you see on hive where hive.blog is the engine that fuels hive; the flame will be the engine that fuels Pyresoul.

If we look at traditional engines then the better and faster they are, the better the machinery they power.

We will take care of our engine at the Brotherhood.

At first we will use traditional PeakD and ecency front ends, but as we grow and entertain more developers from across the crypto ecosystem we will move to a more suitable front end.

One with options; the ability to feature posts, the ability to design the flame like a traditional magazine, and one that attracts readers and writers, rather than no-one at all.

Given my background in writing I will spark up old networks, hit up magazine owners, make deals with advertisers, and power us forward to be one of the most well read human-led platforms on the web.

I predict in about 1-2 years as everyone clambers towards AI, there will be a real need from people to read truthful and honest stories; which the flame is real and raw.

Anyone can join our ecosystem, read daily, invest, and grow their pot. Or even write on the flame if their skills are good enough.

Since the flame is our engine then we have to make sure that the oil we use is top notch. So writers are onboarded via vote, and there is no singular person that can push a writer through.

Longevity

Every order endures through ritual, and the Brotherhood is no different.

Our rituals are simple, symbolic, and real.

Lighting the Flame: Your first act within our walls — a word spoken, a greeting offered, a contribution made. In that instant, your Pyresoul is born.

Tending the Fire: Each day you give, whether through writing, staking, or dialogue, your flame grows brighter. The ledger records your presence; the chain remembers your spark.

Forging Bonds: When you delegate, support, or elevate another, you temper your own flame in the heat of fellowship.

The Brotherhood grows strongest when the fires interlock.

These rituals keep us human in a digital world. They remind us that no system, however advanced, matters without heart.

The Flame is both code and covenant — it thrives only when its keepers do.

Token Launches

Future tranche releases of LGN will be done so at $1 each each as stated in the past announcement.

Bearers of the Emberborn mark will be given a significant discount pre-launch.

Any future tokens sales we release will be done so in this fashion:

30% Pyresoul pot (dripped over the year) / 30% to our Projects / 30% Leaders / 10% Dragon Vault.

This will secure the longevity of this mission and help to include more people when needed.

I understand and realise this is underpriced and cheap -- but the aim is to feed hive at the bottom and create lots of people with Hive Power where we can affect changes in the future.

Brotherhood Governance

We are stagnating, not only as an ecosystem but as a project too. Passive rewards create incentive but they also encourage stagnation -- to not push forward as a community.

This is solely my fault because I have held onto control for too long and not delegated that power over to the community so that they will feel more inclined to participate.

This ends today.

BRO will in essence be our governance token and the Dragonlords will be the people who can effect changes to the project going forward.

This will include (and is not limited to) tokens swaps and working together.

To remain a Dragonlord you will need to be active in our community and participating in a positive and constructive way.

They will bear quite the responsibility in the future and we cannot and will not be at the behest of stagnation or ill will.

The initial direction will be led by me, then I will hopefully be able to delegate that authority over to Dragonlords over the coming months, then as we attract more and more people to our projects and collect developers, I will be looking at full decentralisation and community participation.

1 Bro = 1 Vote. In the future.

However, to avoid a Plutocracy like we see on hive, the wider community will be incentivised and encouraged to test, trial, and participate in proposals in the future -- and serve as a barrier to stupid things being forced through by rule of a small few at the expense of the wider community.

There will be features and systems introduced at a later date to ensure this.

Hive Governance

Hive Governance has become a source of ridicule over the years from professionals I have met in my tenure here -- whether it is stagnation, malice, incompetence, or just pure malfeasance, it does not matter, we have set up The Order of the Phoenix here: @hidden-soul to protect the flame, and to protect hive from itself.

You may be angry about this.

But you have always told us to buy more hive.

So we did.

The order will consist of no-one you know. Don't ask, because they will not tell you.

Admin keys are burned. All that is left are the posting keys.

Submission to the order will consist of a weekly attribution paid in hive.

Order is by invite only.

You cannot buy, beg, plead, or crybully your way in.

The order may also remove me from my station should I become too egotistical and maniacal.

Rewards Degradation

We are incentivising participation at the brotherhood. You can no longer buy our tokens and tap out for a year or two.

Token rewards degrade by 2% monthly.

To offset that you can either participate in the community, delegate, or write on the flame.

There will be more ways to earn pyresoul in the future.

SocialFi

The Flame will get its own gold twitter badge, and in the future we will look at hiring dedicated social media agents that can attract people to our project.

Whatever we earn from our social media endeavours in the way of advertising and such will be split in the same fashion like before: 30/30/30/10 - 30% Pyresoul / 30% Projects / 30% Leaders / 10% btc.

We will also onboard marketing agencies and look at developing a professional brand for ourselves rather than the community one you see right now.

We will do this over a staggered period of time like you have seen with us over the last 4 months as to not cause discomfort within the community.

A sharp change will put everyone off; however a slow planned change towards a more sincere and welcoming brand will not only benefit us ten fold, but make early participants very happy.

Conclusion

What I've built is an engine for the future of hive that is not only sustainable but set to grow at unparalleled rates.

We should not only drive demand with this, but people from all parts of the internet. Defi seekers, artists, chatters, community connectors, and developers.

By creating a free and open pot for everyone then I can only see good things.

Every spark — whether a post, a word, a stake, or a vote — feeds one Fire. And that Fire, in time, will light the world.

The Great Fire

Pyresoul. The Flame. The Pot. The Brotherhood.

Four names, one force.

Pyresoul is the heartbeat — where motion becomes energy.

The Flame is the voice — where art and word ignite meaning.

The Pot is the body — where value gathers and multiplies.

The Brotherhood is the spirit — the will that binds them all.

Together they form the Great Fire — a living engine of creation, turning faith into fuel and presence into prosperity.

We do not build for the past, nor to imitate what was. We build for what is coming — a new dawn of human value on chain.

Every spark matters. Every act counts.

For when one fire rises, all others are lifted by its heat.

Sort:

Mentioning the dhf car (I agree, it's disgusting), while you received dhf money in the past and delivered nothing is a bit .... hypocritical?

At least until you return that money.

Just saying

Money being returned.

I understood last year I had bitten off more than I could chew.

If I'm brutally honest I realised that the work I was going to have to put into growing was too much considering I had to appear for the community every day.

I've never wanted to write on a discord channel so much as now. Less money for nothing. More participation. That's what I was looking for Hive. If this is a social platform, let's make it social then.
Praise the flame!untitled.gif

This project was made for you bro!! :)

A lot to unpack here. However, I can say the project is clearer to me now than before. I've been in Discord for some time now, but never got to understanding the project this way.

Can questions be asked about the project in the Discord? I mean, do we have dedicated mods to answer the questions that may come from ordinary folks?

Yes, you can ask me too as well when I'm around :)

Love the post, Ray. Let's see what happens.

About AI, though: Are all these flame pictures AI generated? If so, isn't it a wee bit ironic to speak badly about AI generated writing, but use AI to generated pictures? To be honest, I think within just a few years, AI writing will be completely indistinguishable from human writing. All the awkward phrasing, tell-tale constructions, overused punctuation marks, will go away. It will be like Blade Runner, where we can't tell a human from a replicant.

It is a fair statement!

I'll think about how to tackle that.

Well, much to digest, here.

I came to the old chain as a content creator almost nine years ago, and I remain here primarily because I am — first and foremost — a content creator. The appeal was the fact that the ostensible immutability of the blockchain would mean that I had a safe place to park my creativity. It remains the one thing about Hive in which I still have faith.

Progress and change is typically initiated by the idealists who believe it is possible to create a better world; a better outcome.

At some point, those idealists collide with the inevitable vagaries of human nature. Consider the promise not only of the original crypto social experiment we had here, but of crypto, itself. The original ideals of providing a trustless, borderless, instant and low/no fee alternative monetary system has been replaced by the Cryptosphere's own version of "Wall Street Greed." Building anything of lasting value has been usurped by a circus clown festival of lottery driven meme coins.

Except maybe for Bitcoin, which continues to enjoy a remarkable first mover benefit and resilience.

"The system is broken" caveats aside, I do sincerely hope what you're building here will allow some kind of Phoenix to rise from the ashes that have become the Hive that exists today!

I hope so too!

Together, we rise :)

It looks like I may have to start writing again. :)

Glad I encouraged that :)

Wao! This is a nice idea. You have really spoken my mind since all these while. I just wonder why things are turning out this way on hive. But I believe things can still get even better if we stick to the plans. Great innovation and great idea.

Thank you sir!

Stick to the plan! lol

You are welcome sir. Don't mind my words 😆. I couldn't think of a better way to express myself 🤣

We are incentivising participation at the brotherhood. You can no longer buy our tokens and tap out for a year or two.

Token rewards degrade by 2% monthly.

To offset that you can either participate in the community, delegate, or write on the flame.

Please explain this more. I can be a turn off for some investors. Some people just wanna invest. So are we punishing money because they don't it don't engage? Isn't it valuable to HOLD? (Yes I changed HODL to HOLD, I liked the reasoning of not calling it HODL xD)

Yes, it's valuable to hold. 50 months is a good drop off I thought!

Basically I'm trying to incentivise people to participate -- offsetting the drop is easy. Almost basic minimal effort. Hardly 10 mins per day.
