Hello splinterlands across the world, how are you doing today? This week's battle challenge is using any dragon monster to fight in the battle and share the battle. One thing that would have made me miss this battle challenge is that I did not read the article. I just concluded that there is a monster called ‘dragon’. therefore , it did not interest me because I did not have any monster that is called “dragon”.
After a few hours, I decided to complete my daily quest. I wasn’t able to play because splinterlands teams were working on the website and all ranking battles were disable for hours. I waited last night till I slept off; woken up this morning I realized that the website is working fine and it doesn’t take me 15 minutes to complete my daily quest and I claimed my loot rewards.
When i open my loot rewards, i got 2 gargoya devil and other monsters, i leveled up my gargoya devil to level 2 and i was very happy.
I will be sharing my battle which i used GRIM REAPER. Grim Reaper is one of the effective monsters in the dragon world with wonderful abilities you gion to like. Though the ability is not new in this game, rather than many players here, I found it so awesome and wonderful.
One of the abilities i love most in the grim reaper is the affliction, using this monster against increasing health ability monsters, the moment grim reaper afflicted any monster with increasing health ability, such monsters will not be able to increase its health unless there are monsters with cleanse ability that will nullify the affliction.
Not only the affliction that makes me love it but also the ranged attack of the grim reaper. If you watch this battle challenge you would understand that only Grim Reaper has 4 ranged attacks in my lineup and my opponent's lineup.
Grim Reaper is a 6 mana monster with 2 speed, this is the one of the reasons the monster is good for reverse speed rule. Using grim reaper in reverse speed rule is going to be super crazy good due to its lower speed and 4 range attack. To enjoy it very well, it is very good to use it in battles without armor. Attacking monsters without armor will make it very effective and kill the opponent's monsters in no time. The day I used grim reaper in battle without armor, I won the battle in the third round; the battle was super fast and quick.
The disadvantage of grim reaper is that the monster is a point of attraction for snipe abilities monsters. Most times I used the monster in a battle, the snipe monsters often to target it more. I don't know why the grim reaper is one of the most targeted monsters in battles.
RULESET
Keep Your Distance: Monsters with melee attack may not be used in the battles.
The moment you see the logo above i battles, it simply interpreted that melee monsters may not be used in the battles, and when i was selecting my monsters there was no melee available to select.
Mana Cap: 44 mana was given to me which was pretty much to select my desired monsters in the battles.

LINEUP
Gelatinous Cube: Since there were no melee attack monsters to use, gelatinous cube is the best for me to use due to its health and scavenger ability. The moment monsters are dying from the battle, the gelatinous cube keeps adding healths. The scavenger ability made the monster stay longer in the battle longer than expected.
Despite a serious attack from my opponents, Gelatinous was able to escape death from the first round but got destroyed in the middle of the second round.
Peaceful Giant: I needed a monster that could help me when a gelatinous cube is destroyed. I knew that the peaceful Giant was very good in that area as a result of their health. I made a mistake by placing the phantom soldier at the second position but later realized that if the phantom soldier is eliminated, it might be a big problem for me: immediately I placed Peaceful Giant as the second monster and it was indeed helpful to me. If I had gone with my first lineup, I would have been defeated.
Phantom Soldier: at the third round that peaceful giant was eliminated, phantom soldier led the battle. Phantom was attacked by a mantoid when it was in the second position which reduced the health of the Phantom soldier before leading the battle. Therefore, Phantom Soldier health was reduced to 6 before leading the battle: by the middle of round 4, phantom soldier was eliminated.
Octopider: though, the demoralized ability did not function well because there were melee monsters in the battle but one thing I love about this monster is the ranged attack.
Grim Reaper: my monster for this week, effective and proactive monster in this battle. Slow to attack but very productive: 4 ranged attacks to any monster that led the battle.
The affliction did not work in the battle because there were no increased ability monsters in the lineup.
Dhampir stalker: the first time I used this monster, it is among the packs I opened in chao legion. Never miss the target and very useful in this battle, Dhampir Stalker saved me in the last minute of the battle when Grim Reaper missed the target. I was wondering again of losing the battle but the true ability monster saved me at the last minute.
In conclusion, Grim Reaper is a useful monster in battles especially when you use it in the right battles. There are battles with rules that are suitable to particular monsters, the moment you align your lineup with the rules, you might win the battle. One of the battles that is suitable for Grim Reaper is reverse rule battle because of its speed.
I use this monster most times whenever I choose a dragon summoner to battle. Therefore , Grim Reaper is among my choice monsters and is inevitable in my lineup most times.
