Is there a provision in Islam that forbids her to marry and talk about marriage in the month of Ramadan?

● Question:

If there is a man who loves a woman, then he wants to marry that woman in the blessed month of Ramadan, and she wants to talk to her about it, is there any provision in Islam that forbids her to marry and talk about her marriage in the month of Ramadan?
The man loved the woman so much, and wanted to marry her. I would like your advice on this issue.

● Answer:

Alhamdulillah.

There is no prohibition in shari'ah to get married in Ramadan because of the position of this month as the month of Ramadan. Not forbidden in other months. Even marriage is permissible on any day of the year.

However, people who fast during Ramadan must refrain from eating, drinking, and drinking from the dawn until the drowning of the sun. Therefore, if he is able to restrain himself and not be afraid he will do things that can ruin his fast, then he may marry in the month of Ramadan.

Commonly, the frequent person who wants to start a domestic life during Ramadan, is unable to be patient not to visit his newly married wife during the day. So it is feared he will fall on things that are forbidden and violate the honor of this glorious month. Then he committed a great sin, besides he was also obliged to replace the abandoned fast and pay the heavy kaffarah, ie freeing slaves. If he does not get it then he must fast for two consecutive months, if he can not afford then feed the sixty poor people. And if you repeat jima 'for several days, then also increase kaffarah to be paid in accordance with the number of days.

For that, our advice to the questioner,

If he fears he will not be able to control himself, we advise him to postpone his marriage until after Ramadan. And he should busiest himself in the month of Ramadan with worship and recitations of the Qur'an and night prayers, as well as other worship.

You know a'lam.
