Splinterlands had just started selling its node for the presale. There is a total of 2000 nodes in the presale for a price of $1000 worth of SPS + 500 vouchers.
At the time of the presale, $1000 worth of SPS is about 9k SPS. I predicted that it would takes maybe a few days to sell out all 2000 nodes, cause overall 9k SPS can be quite a heavy price for some. Yet, the sale blow my mind.

Just within 11min, all 2000 node was sold out. And dont forget that all these SPS and vouchers that used for purchases will not go to the company at all. Instead, all these vouchers will be burned, while 80% of the SPS will be burned and 20% of the SPS will go to the SPS Dao. As a result, 18mil of SPS will be burned just from the 11min presale.
With 762mil in circulation, 18mil is quite a significant amount! This just further prove on my bullishness on Splinterlands.
For me myself, I manage to buy 2.
Fun fact: The top buyer actually bought 179 licenses while the 2nd bought 76, 3rd bought 50. The data is processed by cryptomancer.
And that is not the end. Below shows the license sale roadmap. Once the presale is over, it will immediate move to tranche 1 and the price of the node sale will increase
As you can see below, instead of 9k SPS, now it require a total of 27k SPS. Of course, you can offset half of the SPS with vouchers. So naturally, it is better to buy the vouchers to have the max offset and a voucher cost less than $2 but it can offset $3 each.
And the sale of the node is still ongoing!!! With the next 1.5hr, close to another 300 license had been sold even tho it has a higher price point!

The node will have no passive income yet for a period of time. Maybe there is a chance that the secondary market for node dropped in price during this period of time.

I am lucky to have those airdrop vouchers and sps to get the licesnse, so in a way for free. That is the beautiful for being part of splinterlands game.
