Al-Habib Abdullah ibn Husayn ibn Thahir
He was born in Tarim, a small town in South Yemen in 1191 Hijriyah. Drawing knowledge from the great scholars of Hadhramaut and the great scholars of Makkah and Medina. With a strong will and extraordinary intelligence and cleanliness and sincerity of his heart, he eventually became one of the greatest scholars of his time.
From his many great-born disciples who later became great scholars of whom were Al-Allamah Muhammad ibn Husayn Al-Habsyi and Al-Habib Ali Al-Habsy, the author of the famous Prophet Mohammed sallallahu alaihi wassalam (Simthud Duror) .From his hand was also born the work (book) is quite phenomenal, among others, Diwan (collection of poems), al-Washiah an-Nafi'ah fi Sentence Jami'ah, Dzikru al-Mu'minin bima Ba'atsa bihi Sayyidil Mursalin ( contains about the solicitation to work on charity), Silmu at-Taufiq (about fiqih), Miftahul I'rab (about the science of nahwu) and Majmu '(which is now in the hands of readers).
He died at the age of 81 years, namely in 1272 Hijriyah. Precisely, after living a life full of struggle in the way of Allah, both in the science of religion and his political struggle, by telling the truth in the presence of the ruler at that time.Demikian a little about his life history.
