27 may, 2018. 4 friends went opkhara for boating . They were hit by storm and lightining and got drownedin lake. 4 were saaved whereas a boy got missing on Sunday afternoon after falling off a boat into Phewa Lake in Pokhara — is still unknown.
The missing person has been identified as 18-year-old Supril Lama of Suryabinayak Municipality in Bhaktapur district.
Lama was boating on the lake along with four others when strong winds and lightning hit the boat. Lama and 18-year-old Bishal Thapa, also from Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur fell into the water while three others remained in the boat, who were able to rescue Thapa.
According to the District Police Office, Kaski, search operation is on-going to find Lama.
Meanwhile, Mandip Mahat (19) and Sushil Kunwar (17) of Bhaktapur, and Anil Rokka (17) of Sitapaila in Kathmandu have been reported safe.
