It is a good idea but it may be frustrating to the viewers to look through many post to find the right one !
While organizing the contest , choose some international topic which can attract user from other countries also. It can increase the no of competitors and will also give visibility to the account.

First , I want to ask if the blogs and photos that comes to you in the contest gets judged from the professionals of those field ?
If not, find them so that the judgement becomes realistic.
Second, Don't keep the prices in Dollar rather keep it in SBD because it gives true value of the prize to participants .
In your photography contest make participants to put tag like
Homephotography childrenphotography oldphotography
This will keep a nice trend to promote nepali steemians and your account .

Lol every coin is illegal. It's no point just bannig bitcoin because you can very easily convert bitcoin to any coin. You can read official statement
