Your first paragraph reminded me of a long gone friendship!
There's nothing worse than toothache. Nobody wants a tooth out but I've been in a situation where my dental surgeon has said he could do a root canal but it still might not work. At my age, I don't mind losing the odd tooth but I'm hanging onto the others! Hope your pain gets better when the antibiotics kick in. Take care.

The pain is already better, thank you :) It is just the long-term consequences that bother me...and that the tooth never got fixed and I didn't pay it attention timely.
