Can a blind person take pictures? It is possible nowaday!

Robot Manufacture (the name of this young project), specializes in creating solutions for people with disabilities. Their first project, Blindtuch, is exceptionally ambitious - enough to say that they were the first in the world to create a camera for the blind.

The operation of the device will be based on principles similar to a standard camera. It will consist of two mobile components, i.e. a camera and a base station. The pictures taken will be presented on it using a three-dimensional matrix of pull-out pins. Blindroom will also allow you to display text written in Braille.

  • I believe that in the era of dynamically developing technology, we should more often design mobile devices for people with disabilities. I want technology development to serve those who need it very much - says the originator of the project, Piotr Cybulski.

The device will enable blind people to experience architecture and art, Cybulski believes. - We want the blind to experience beauty here and now - he emphasized.

Currently, Blindtouch is in the prototype phase. The start-up plans to set up a crowdfunding fundraising, thanks to which it will finance the production of the device in the production version.
