China will build a tunnel under Mount Everest!

China is developing into a power, which is constantly emphasized by the presentations of its great, breakneck enterprises. This time they are considering the construction of a railway line to India that would run under the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest.

As the Tibetan line runs through Tibet, now China wants to expand it with new branches, so that one of them will lead through Nepal and the "Roof of the World" to India.

According to the Chinese authorities, such a very use solution would affect the development of trade and tourism in this amazingly charming part of the world, as well as between these major Asian countries.

In spite of many successful Chinese pioneer projects, the implementation of this, large-scale, will not be so easy. The section is supposed to have a length of about 540 kilometers and run at an altitude of 3650 meters and between passes rising up to 5000 meters above sea level.

Thus, the trains running on it would probably develop a speed of no more than 120 kilometers per hour, which would extend the entire journey through the mountains to several days.

The construction plan proposed by Beijing must be supported by the Indian authorities. And this will also not be so obvious, because New Delhi considers Nepal, separated from China by Himalayan peaks, for its exclusive sphere of influence.
