You want curations? Factors you should know. Newbies

in #newbies29 days ago

I am sure many people click on this blog because they want to know the factors that are needed to get results (Curation). Well, before we get there let's talk about something important, this blog is mostly directed at newbies. If you are a newbie, once again, I welcome you to the hive ecosystem. A place where you can make a name for yourself.

There are huge number of people getting onboarded on hive with little information on how it works or what's going on. With what you are about to read, it doesn't matter what frontend you use; you will be able to find your way.

It is true that the hive is a rewarding system where your contents are rewarded based on what you share within the ecosystem. Before I go into the factors, I would like to share these little tips with you. These are the basic knowledge of hive.

Hive is a family.

What do I mean when I say hive is a family? Just like how we have the bees in their hive, working together to make the colony prosperous, in the same sense we have people on hives performing different tasks to make the hive blockchain a successful one. If you want to benefit from this blockchain, then you have to play a part. It doesn't have to be something difficult; it is something you choose to do at your own will and within your capacity.

Engagement/Interaction

For you to have a successful stay on the hive, you have to interact with other people. One thing about families is that they communicate with each other, and with communication come bonds and relationships. meaning you can be in Africa and have a best friend in Asia. Thats how connecting the hive blockchain can be. You will meet people with like-minded minds, share your experience, and learn more, so don't just drop your content and move on; drop your content and interact with people on the blockchain.

Factors.

This is the part that many people have been waiting for. Now let's talk about factors that can attract curators to your blog.

Originality.

The first thing on the list is originality. There have been common reports from different communities on how newbies use AI to generate most of their posts. One thing you should know is that "no matter how smart you are, you can't have knowledge on all topics on Hive."

If you see a prompt, you love but have no idea about it, you can go into the community, read about what people have to say about the topic, then drop a comment. If you want to be seen and known, you have to make sure that your contents are original. Some people are scared that their English might not be correct and that there might be mistakes in their work. Well, we all want to improve; the more you do it, the better you become. Make your mistake, read and learn some corrections, and become a better version of yourself. Write the way you can, if you can use correcting tools that won't change the originality of your work, cool or you can always ask an expert to cross check for you before uploading. No one is perfect, know this.

Another thing about originality is, when writing, if you have an original picture or video to support what you have to say, drop the picture, and if you're going to use an image from another site, source the image and the place you got the image from. Things like this make your work look original.

As a newbie, I would suggest you join communities that engage in prompt writing so that when you are out of ideas on what to write about, you can always check out communities like #ladiesofhive, #LOH, #inleo, #inkwell, #hivelearners, #hiveghana, #hivenaija, #indiaunited, and many more. This is why I said you need to engage with people on the blockchain, because if you don't, you might find it hard to get this information.

Rules.

The Hive blockchain is made up of different communities, and each community has its own rules. Apart from the fact that each community has its own rules, the hive social-fi network has its own rules. They do not support AI-generated content, abusive content, plagiarism, and many more. You need to follow these rules guiding the eco system you just joined to make it a better place. Things like this boost your chances of getting curated. Immediately you enter into a community on hive, check for their rules first.

In Conclusion.

There are many other factors to be considered, but these are the basics for newbies. You need to understand this, make your account your own, and let people know the style of writing you use, what you write about, and what they should expect from you. Always have this in mind: "Curation on blogs is not certain," so if you write to get curated, you will be disappointed and might want to give up on writing. Remember, there is a bigger picture, and if you lose sight of it, you will lose a lot of things.

I hope you are able to learn from this. Thanks for reading.
