One of the things I liked about Bitcoin is that when you live in a country not being liked by USA, you still have a chance. Since Circle is mostly west based I fear that I might not be able to use Poloniex anymore.
We all knew this would happen if crypto took off, companies would have to get involved. This could mean more fees and less control but it could also mean more security and more people using it.
