The former CEO of Mt.Gox, one of the largest crypto-exchange markets, Mark Karpeles made a statement for the creditors shameless, and the nonexistent exchanger: "I'm on your side."
Carpels, who simply watched the collapse of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2014, said in a Reddit branch on Wednesday, April 4 that he does not plan to benefit from the bankruptcy of the company, whose case is currently being examined by a Japanese court.
"I do not want this billion dollars. From the first day, I did not plan to cash in on the bankruptcy of the exchange, "Karpeles said. "The fact that today for me bankruptcy is an opportunity to enrich is a complete delusion, and I consider it my duty not to allow this."
After the bankruptcy procedure is completed, Carpeles can give himself a crypto currency of more than one billion US dollars, since payments to creditors in the yen will be made from the calculation of Bitcoin's exchange rate at the moment of closing the exchange - 480 US dollars for BTC.
"I do not want to become rich in no time. I'm not asking for forgiveness. I just want it to end as soon as possible. To everyone, including me, get their share of what they had on MtGox, "he added.
Carpiles argues that he stands for the rehabilitation of Mt.Gox in front of citizens, which will give creditors the opportunity to vote for the future of the exchange. In this case, they will be able to distribute the remaining bitcoins, as well as coins received from forks, directly between creditors, and not sell them to pay compensation in Fiat:

The bankrupt stock exchange is believed to continue to hold more than 160,000 BTC and BCH, and it is unclear whether the court will instruct the trustees to withdraw these coins to the Fiat in the future.
