Strangers Lift Crashed Helicopter by Hand to Save Trapped Crew

in #news3 days ago

A few days ago in Sacramento, a medical helicopter crashed onto a busy highway. The helicopter was pinned down by the crash, and the pilot, a nurse, and a paramedic were trapped underneath the helicopter. Emergency personnel had not yet arrived; however, some drivers and bystanders did not wait and they descended upon the scene to assist.

About 15 bystanders lifted the helicopter by hand to free the paramedic, who they pulled from under the helicopter first, and eventually, the nurse, and then the pilot. All three survived and are recovering.

The helicopter was leaking fuel, and the helicopters were in a serious risk of igniting and exploding at any moment. It was a hair-raising sound decision, but everyone simply did what they had to do.

One bystander stated, “I saw the crash and could not believe what I was seeing. I was thinking, ‘No way this is happening.’ But when it really mattered, everyone just stepped up.”

To be honest, it's incredible how regular, everyday people can join together and do something extraordinary when it really matters.
