Sie tumpok this is a way citizens to get meat at the meugang, usually this way is done by joining to buy buffalo or cow then cut together and divided equally to all citizens.
In addition to cheaper sie tumpok is also tighten the rope, because the process of cutting buffalo done together, said Tgk Ismail citizen Gampong Kabu Baroh after cutting buffalo meugang, in his village.
Tgk Ismail explained that over time the tradition of sie tumpok at the time of this fasting before the fasting began many people left, only a few villages are still living the relic of the indatu.
He added that this sie tumpok was done to ensure that all citizens get meat at the time of meugang, sie tumpok usually done by the village apparatus together with the residents with payment after the rice harvest.
Payment becomes unique because it is not paid with money but bartered with rice. Usually the word Tgk Ismail, per sie tie is rewarded with two to three naleh, (one naleh equals 16 bamboo rice). Indeed cohesiveness and togetherness is more subtle but the tradition of sie tumpok is also there is a weakness because not all rice is paid good quality.
In the gampongnya still apply that tradition. It's just that, no longer pay by using the paddy but all the costs are taken from the cash income of the village after going through the process of meeting or agreement together.
