In BC, they told us there would be a short lockdown to prevent crashing the health care system. That dragged out into months, with no coherent reason given, as society is changed to its core around us. Now, it looks like the loss of rights and extended government powers will be made permanent.

In Thailand we have ZERO community cases in over 100 days and have been listed as #1 country in the world with only 58 deaths. But still strict rules everywhere and borders firmly closed. How much longer is this going to be dragged out?? They argue that Hong Kong's flare up justifies further caution. Urgh. I saw last night on coindesk.com that the US has printed more $$ in the last month for the Covid crisis than in the last 200 years combined. This time next year, Covid gonna look like a minor inconvenience compared to the financial disaster ahead.
Sadly it sounds almost the same as here in Canada. Thanks for reporting on your situation in Thailand.
LOL'd so hard @ SHUT UP! Many of us left standing totally get and appreciate that. People have had years to get emotionally prepared for this (well any of those above the level of complete ignorance). Yet we ignored it like a cancer growing larger that we try to ignore that one day kills us and on our deathbed we realize it was curable if we just faced it in time. #irony
