McAfee was so certain he’d be killed (and so smart about it) that he took all the evidence he had gathered against the Deep State (which many believe is the holy grail of exposure) and he spread it out to multiple parties and multiple places on what is known as a “Kill Switch” or “Dead Man’s Switch”.
The way a Dead Man’s Switch works is if you don’t check in to the system at the predetermined times in the predetermined ways, then the switch goes off and automatically releases all the evidence.

It took me a while to connect to it - which I have not managed on this box. Interestingly, there are two sites with the same IP addy, which I have not seen before in almost 40 years online. One of them has a pic of John McAfee and a countdown, and the other is like a placeholder, which is not the right site.
Searching recent news on McAfee, lots of articles about him dying broke, having squandered his fortune on homes. I am a hopeless romantic, and this encourages my speculation that he bribed his way out of Spain. The countdown is probably just an ad for Whackd crypto, but I am ready for my hopes to be dashed again, and again.
About 20 minutes now, and we'll see.
