Hm ... I live in Germany and I can assure you that not only half of the Canadian teens stare at their phones, the German teens do it aswell. And probably English, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Spanish, Italian and many other Countrys Kids aswell. And if one look around I´d guess that nearly all teens fumbling with phones, not only the half of them, less and less Kids dont have a phone, and on top they all dont fumble only 2 hrs a day, but more like 8 hrs a day, every day. ... And about education, ask yourself: What do you think kids prefer? Some Show about Math or some funny Vines or browser games? ... And on top of that all: Our Governments are not really interested in educated people, and in the future I think a lot of Internet-Content will be censored/gone/shut off and replaced with Infos we are allowed to know - and Bullshit for our Brains. Do you DTubers know the Movie "Idiocracy"? If not, Id like to recommend it, they show very well why the planet is dumbing down while we have all ways open to educate ourselves.
