Now even the university system has become nothing more than indoctrination. For decades the best and brightest have more and more eschewed academia for private industry. First in business, then in IT, entrepreneurs skipped the degree and disrupted industry, and now even the hard sciences like physics, chemistry, and biology are wrapped in rainbow flags and mumbo jumbo about racist maths.
Autodidacty has replaced universities, and genetic engineering doesn't require grants and labs, but has become a tabletop cottage industry.
Science has integrity, but academia doesn't. Science has escaped it's academic cage and is now feral, wild. We that insist on factual data, we're the scientists now.

Universities in the world I live in have already turned away from reality and are caught up in autistic arrogance and deceit.
Universities exist to satisfy the honor, vanity, and classist desires of the ruling class. In particular, it is playing a role in publicizing the dangers of the coronavirus to the public for the benefit of the almighty state.
Perhaps you remember that the universities of medieval Europe were faithful servants of emperors, kings, popes, and nobles.

I have been focusing on food and gardening lately. Today I saw a report that discussed a reputable accredited university teaching nurses to deliver babies out of penises, another that hired a pedophile to treat sexually abused children, and the USG said that denying children puberty blockers was life threatening. They're beyond saving. Academia, the enemedia, and government are doomed, and anyone that follows them is too.
Just grow food, get a few yards of rope, and when the mobs finally get fed up and go after the psychopaths trying to turn Earth into a dystopian hellscape with torches and pitchforks, you can supply the necessary materiel to end their bloviation.
