New animals are every year, and in some cases - even every day!
Unfortunately, many of them lack either time or, in general, there are no specialists who can identify and correctly describe the new species ... Fortunately, in the case of reptiles and amphibians have enough specialists. In one 2016 described 55 species of reptiles and 54 species of amphibians! Believe me, every one of them is well founded and there.
I do not see any possibility, nor the ability to expand on each of the 109 species, so that today about snakes and only about snakes! =) This year describe a new snake from prelyubopytny family Uropeltidae, living only in the south, "the mysterious subcontinent India" (c) and in Sri Lanka. Called Melanophidium khairei.
