4G also has negative health effects for many people (probably all of us), but only a minority of people have big enough problems in the short term that they notice. In such cases, the only solution for them is to leave areas where this technology is found or use shielding products which are costly.
The engineers working on 5G technology will not and cannot protect you. If they cared about public health, they wouldn't be working on the technology in the first place.
