That the events that transpired on September 11, 2001 in the US changed the world would be an understatement to say the least. In fact, we are living through the repercussions of what happened on that infamous day. Fast forward to 2008, the financial crash made a rough six to seven years rougher.
All this, I believe, paved the way for what we have now, blockchain, the platform on which this medium is built and of course, the greatly vaunted Bitcoin. We have yet to grasp the true potential of this technology, I guess only the few who are reading this and the less than one per cent of the world’s population know about these possibilities. That said, even we are not even sure where this technology will take us.
I call this the Real September 11 is coming because this innovation, among others, will uproot the existing social order. As a matter-of-fact, it already is. From real estate, to buying food, to signing contracts; you name it, blockchain will change all this and usurp the existing institutions and the ways of doing things.
This September 11 though will not stem from flying planes into building. Its repercussions will not result in the invasion of countries, nor will it embolden the police state. The fact is that most people are not even aware of it even though it is here. Yes, this September 11 will not be televised. It will be conducted online.
