A total of 13 thousand 111 crore taka has been allocated in the ICT sector in the proposed fiscal year 2018-19 to create 'Digital Bangladesh'. This amount is approximately 2.82 percent of the proposed national budget. This amount of Tk.1470 crores more than the outgoing FY2017-18 fiscal year. In the farewell fiscal year, the amount of allocation was 11 thousand 641 crores. In the meantime, this is the highest allocation in the last five years. In the year 2014-15, the total allocation was about 4,669 crore taka.
