When Trump dashed the Iran Deal he basically pissed on the backs of the European leaders. Europe is in big trouble, and they needed the trade routes that were part of the deal. Merkel is loyal to the powers that be, but she is struggling with problems with Deutsche Bank and the Italian banks. Rumour has it that new Finance Minister, Olaf Sholz is off on holiday to Cape Idokopas. Expect Merkel to be gone within a year and Germany joined forces with Russia.
