This Week in the Sndbox
Welcome to the 36th State of the Sndbox newsletter! This past week, we shared a few articles on The Creative Crypto Magazine about the Forever Rose, Creativechain, and the Hardfork series. Winners and contributors of the "About My Culture" Steemit challenge took us around the world with a variety of experiences. We also shared a few projects and interviewed @critic-on about his project on urban farming, highlighting how it helps Venezuelan communities. And finally, just hours ago, we revealed the winners of this month's State of the Sndbox thumbnail competition.

A Rose Worth More than its Weight
While it is far from being the most expensive rose in the world, it is the priciest proof of love purchased entirely with cryptocurrency, on the day of hearts nonetheless. The $ 1 Million USD-valued purchase was made on the digital asset platform, GIFTO. The tangible proof of love of this project is that proceeds will go to the CoderDojo Foundation, an institution that gives today's youth free programming education. Indeed a lasting legacy for the Forever Rose.

Creativechain Platform Launch
Creativecoin will change the way creative professionals share their artistic content through decentralized applications (DApps), taking into consideration ownership, copyright management, and the distribution of intellectual property licenses.
The blockchain behind this token is called Creativechain. Launched only last week, the platform is enticing artists, musicians, designers, architects, and filmmakers with their user interface that capitalizes on familiar Social Media functions with the added functionality of transparent sharing and leasing. The HardFork Series, Setting New Standards for Filmmaking
The HardFork Series is transforming the traditional processes of getting an idea onto the silver screen, utilizing decentralization to advocate the preservation of artistic integrity and the message of the story. The trailer for this futuristic thriller was released at SteemFest 2 in Lisbon, which in the first few seconds, tells you to "sit still...you will see a whole new world". Steemit Culture Challenge Winners
The About My Culture challenge designed by @aaronli was well received with excellent entries. Captivating sights and stories from Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Bangladesh took the top spots. From Taoism to bamboo folklore, this challenge showed us the colors of the world. Cheers to the winners - @prch, @kimzwarch, and @tetas08! You can read the full results here.
Project Spotlights of the Week
The Sndbox incubator showcases projects by its members, spotlighting the value-generating impact these projects have for the Steem ecosystem by attracting new users to the platform. This week, we've highlighted a range a projects spanning @soyo's Steemit character collaboration with @zzoya to @bitrocker2020's upcoming Steem workshop at the 100 Degrees Steemit Organization on Aug 24.. Getting Creative with Ethereum
The Creative Crypto Magazine (@creativecrypto) sets the basic foundation of its social network on Facebook and Twitter, calling out to content producers and consumers to pull them into the Steemit community. We highlight Ethereum this time in the second round of our Crypto Art Challenge. Let your crypto-creativity shine!
State of the Sndbox Thumbnail Competition Results
The 8th State of the Sndbox Thumbnail Competition continues the tradition of competitive creativity with wonderful entries. @gamsam brings home the bacon with his sleek design, featured at the top of this post. @aaronhong, @thillustrator, @raizel and @louis88 earn the other top spots listed here.
Community Agriculture in Venezuela
@critic-on empowers urban farming in Venezuala to boost agricultural and livestock production in the community that will further the studies and training of children, provide nourishment for the community, establish the community awareness on environmental issues, and to minimize negative environmental impact. For this post, we had a chance to "sit down" with the man to discuss everything from his entrance to Steemit to his diverse community and envrionment-driven work. Read all about his work here.
@steemph Covers Ground All Over the Philippines
To raise funds for art materials and snacks for @aalagenesis' art workshop for the Kids of Manila (@steemph.manila), she will be holding an "Art Show at a Car Show" to sell some art work in our Steemit booth on April 15 at the 23rd Diliman Motorshow.

I am more proud than any project I have done for myself.
It's has really been an interesting and outstanding week on the chain block and all thanks to @sndbox, ranging from the competition down to the support given by sndbox towards agriculture in Venezuela and other educative and creative post geared towards educating steemians and making us creative. It's has really been an extraordinary week 36 full of creative platform, stories about culture with brings unity in diversity and outstanding contest.
