Seriously, we are cells.
Like cells in our body. Coexistence to make up the many forms of society that currently exist. Thus like organism of the animal kingdom, our future will be much more... "hivemind" to the point where the actual entity expressing singular would be what those minds adhere to and uphold... Unequivocally.
It's hard to imagine how but really thats what human is. The collective existence of cells, bacteria, microorganisms, viruses, etc that are governed then by MIND.
More accurately: Subconscious Mind.
Conscious exist as the SELF AWARE (OBSERVER) so obviously we can't tell our gut bacteria to go on an expedition to acquire food. But it's the collective that influence mind to know... unified entity needs energy. Food.
I'm not even relevant to your post now but I see the world say in year 3331 as data as THE platform. Human, (whatever that be) existing as analogues to that system. Each mind collective contributing and each energy footprint making up the combined "resource" of that entity in virtual space.
