I recently became aware of the organs for scientific research market and its practices after one particular broker recently came to notoriety in Detroit Michigan. With biomedical and genetic technology advancing at what's likely an exponential rate, we need to go ahead and start thinking about some of the ethical implications and questions around things like the sale of organs.
Please leave a comment to let me know what you think about these stories, and whether or not we should have government intervene with regulation and oversight. I'm reluctant to call on the government for anything and haven't come to a solid conclusion on this particular question so your input is valued here. We probably need to be having this conversation...
