While the intent of BTC miners seems identical with that of conquistadors looking for hapless victims to rob, enslave, and murder - personal profit - I observe that armed plunder is proved by history, and BTC mining remains speculative, if it's brief history lends support to the theory it is profitable.

Wikileaks released encrypted volumes of information that is claimed to be able to topple governments, that presently efforts are underway to decrypt.
