An earthquake detected earlier this month in North Korea was widely reported as a nuclear test with the possibility of it having been a successful test of a hydrogen bomb. But there are some strange facts surrounding the supposed test that need to be questioned especially after North Korea experienced yet another earthquake today, this one with only a magnitude of 3.4.
For example, the second tremor that was detected after the initial earthquake, the location of the quake site in relation to a highly active "super volcano" on the border between North Korea and China, the high level of seismic activity in the region and who was reporting that the quake was a blast.
The location of the supposed North Korean test site, is approximately 70 miles from a highly active "super volcano" called Mount Paektu. Earlier this year, experts warned of a possible eruption of the volcano which last erupted in 946 AD and left a 5 km caldera; one of the most devastating eruptions in human history. The most recent tremor was deemed to have a sound-wave of a natural volcano, according to China.
The entire Ring of Fire, of which the Korean peninsula lies on the outer edge, has been experiencing serious seismic activity as of late, including Mexico, which has also experienced another earthquake of a 6.1 magnitude on-top of the two others that occurred over the past two weeks including a 7.1 magnitude quake which devastated Mexico City. Japan and it's neighbor Taiwan have also seen a bunch of earthquakes ranging anywhere from 4.5 to a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast near the epicenter of the disastrous 9.0 magnitude quake that caused the tsunami and subsequent Fukushima nuclear plant crisis, that still has not been fully contained.
All this seismic activity in the Ring of Fire begs the question, "Was there really a North Korean nuclear test at all or was it just Mount Paektu flexing its tectonic muscle?" If it wasn't a nuclear test that caused the earthquakes on September 3rd, then what is happening to the Pacific plate and is there cause for concern? And if there was, was it a contributing factor to all these earthquakes?
So, as U.S. bombers stages a show of force of the coast of North Korea, we do know, is that governments (and the mainstream media, for that matter) can hardly be trusted these days, especially after its clear that the government and the military industrial complex used the media to lie us into wars in the past, as demonstrated with the invasion and occupation of Iraq which lasted more than a decade, took thousand of soldiers lives and hundreds of thousands of civilian lives.
