Crypto billionaire dies under mysterious circumstances

in #news6 years ago

Matthew Mellon the banking heir was found dead today in a Mexican drug rehab facility. He made his fortune by turning two million into 1 billion on Bitcoin and Ripple

He had lots of problems

Bi polar, long time cocaine abuser. He sent his wife fake emails claiming to be a blackmailer with info on her husband. The attachments were not incriminating videos but spyware Trojans that would log her keystrokes. He sounds like a shitty guy.

Hooked on Oxycontin

Hooked on Oxycontin he was in Mexico for rehab, where he took Ayahuasca. People do sometimes die in Ayahuasca ceremony but it's rare. He has undergone Ibogaine treatment too. It's a psychedelic banned in the USA and widely believed to help cure addiction.

Crypto Missing?

His family cannot find his crypto fortune! That is pretty sketchy. I mean it might be a nice treatment facility, but it's still Mexico. I am curious about this whole thing. It's a reminder if you die you really should leave your next of kin your wallet passwords....

Ripple Pumper

"Crypto is scary and dark. It's anti-America," says Mellon, 54. "I am pro-America, pro-business and pro-bank. That's why I went with Ripple." - Matthew Mellon

That seems like a way to pump your investment, by calling it the good crypto while saying the other coins are the ones bad guys use. I'm sure a dump was coming later.

Oh wow.. that really does sound sketchy - I wonder what happened..And it is a reminder to give someone you trust the information that in case something happens to you the money won't just go to waste. It probably won't be 1 billion, but still worth a lot and who knows.. one day it might even be that much :)
