Steve Wozniak - did he even have bitcoins?

in #news6 years ago

Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, said in January: "I sold all the BTCs I had", citing the fact that without them it's calmer, and the constant monitoring of charts and news makes him tired. In principle, one can understand a person who, in addition to the crypto currency, has significant sources of income.

But now Wozniak claims that he lost seven BTC as a result of fraud. He told about the incident at the World Business Summit in India, the Economic Times.

"Someone bought them from me using a credit card, but then canceled the payment. And the credit card was stolen, in the end, to track it and return the stolen bitcoins will not work, "- he complained.

If everything is really so, it means that Wozniak agreed to face-to-face exchange, refusing the services of stock exchanges and exchangers. The decision is worthy of an individual with an unlimited faith in humanity. Or someone who does not understand how to protect themselves from fraud. In fact, we can assume that Wozniak gave his crypto-savings to the unknown. From this it is worthwhile to make a lesson: be careful and use trusted services - it's safer.

As Wozniak says, he bought his bitcoins at a price of $ 700 apiece as an experiment. And, despite the "bitter experience", he remains a fan of BTC:

"Bitcoins for me is a currency that is not controlled by the government. It is mathematical, it is pure, it can not be changed. "

It remains a mystery: who and what stole from Wozniak, if he sold all his crypt?
