On Thursday afternoon, the South African parliament was thrown into complete chaos . Members from the EFF and ANC turned violent . More over the all members of Parliament were there to be training , on operations, procedures and rules of parliament, including how to behave . A spokesman from DA said "the fight was provoked by the EFF MPs attacking their ANC colleagues" . One of the EFF members instigated attacks on the ANC and before long members of both sides jumped up and things went out of hand.
It took newly elected national assembly speaker Thandi Modise to bring things back to normal. She said “WE ARE MPS AND AS CONSTITUENTS AND WE REPRESENT THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH AFRICA, IT’S UNACCEPTABLE,” SHE SAID. “REALLY, ALL I COULD DO WAS LAUGH BECAUSE IT WAS ABSURD TO SEE ADULTS OVERCOME WITH EMOTION LIKE THIS.”
