As much as I love what Snowden did to expose the massive surveillance we all live under it saddens me greatly that no one seems to care to much or has any inclination to do much about it. It's not that hard to install browser addons to minimize tracking, or to use encrypted e-mail accounts to privatize communications. People still keep on using Google, Facebook et. al...sad.

So meaning that you would put the burden and the responsibility on the user side? Im mean, if I tell my aunty Emma to install a browser add-on and use encrypted emails comm. she will look at me disappointed asking if i`m insulting her in a new foreign language.
So are you saying that we all need someone else to take responsibility for our actions or in-actions? I prefer to take responsibility for my own privacy to the extent possible. If you prefer to allow someone else to do it for you then you can already see the consequences...it's what we have now.
But what about trusting? I'm mean, in theory, govermemts exist to take care of their cityzens, do they?
Wow! The government does not to exist "take care" of "their" citizens. The government, at least as setup in the USA, is there only to protect the rights of the people. That, sir, is a huge difference and if understood fully leads one to a totally different view of for whom and why governments should exist...read up on the Federalist Papers.
