I have been trying to city down on using foods that have palm oil due to it's environmental impact. Thank you for pointing this out too, yet another reason.

I feel pretty tired to see this link between palm oil and cancer. It depends on how you produce it, especially on which temperature your reach during the process.
I agree that promoting palm oil promotes also deforestation in some areas in the world. But think about ti: palm oil replaces butter. Do you prefere deforestation produced by butter production (cows) or deforestation produced by palm trees plantation?
