Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
As you have probably noticed, the NFT "industry" has been on fire lately and I must admit I am kind of curious about it too. From what I have heard and read so far, it´s pretty exciting and it feels like this whole thing is still in its super early stage and I would hate to miss out on something with such a massive potential. So yeah, I have been thinking about trying it out but not as a buyer - I would like to give it a shot as a creator (or artist if you will).

Stunning piece of street art that I captured on the Holbox Island, Mexico. Illustrative purpose only, my skills are a far cry from this...
As far as I know, pretty much anything can be an NFT (non fungible token) - from pictures, gifs, memes, screenshots to videos and music files. I think I am quite a creative person in general and when I was younger, I did a bit of sketching, drawing, calligraphy / paper graffiti stuff but I have never really tried any of that in a digital form.
Here comes the first problem, I have literally zero experience with digital art :D :/ The only thing I´m familiar with is photo editing (to make my actual, real life photos look better) in the very simple and basic photo editor that was included in the default package of Windows programs in my laptop.
So my first question is: What is the best NFT program / app for newbies?
Once I have the program / app where I can create NFT, I guess I will have to decide what kind of art I should actually start with. I know it can be really anything and it may be hard to predict what will be attractive to the collectors and what not but is there any general advice or tip on what to start with? Can digital editing of actual photos be a good place to start? I have noticed, for example, that these funny collages with digitally created characters like cute dragons, monsters etc. are placed into landscapes and backgrounds in real photos are quite popular. Or is better to just start with a blank page and create the whole piece by myself?
When I finish my first pieces, it will be time to look for some marketplace to offer my art, right? I know we have some here on Hive too but I think I will better go for some other places first where I can offer my art anonymously and get some grasp of how these NFT selling platforms work. Again, a simple and user friendly place with easy registration will be preferable. What would be your recommendations?
The last question will be about the price setting. For almost 5 years, I have been a ShutterStock contributor so I am used to my photos having been purchased over and over again but I know this is not how NFT works. I am supposed to put a price tag on each of my NFT artworks and when someone decides to buy it, it´s all over. The money (I mean crypto) is transferred to my account and from that point on, I´m no longer the owner of that particular art piece. The buyer is now and the proof of the ownership is recorded on the blockchain. Or at least that´s how I think it works. So any suggestions on the price setting "strategy"? What may be the factors that I should consider before putting the price tag on my artwork?
So these were same of the lame newbie questions that come to my mind when I think about giving NFT a shot. Any advice, tips, recommendations or any other kind of feedback from more experienced member of our community will be greatly appreciated (and upvoted).
Thank you guys :)

Awesome, thank you very much man! I really appreciate you being so open and helpful :) Btw I just checked your gallery on that NFT Showroom. You have some really fine art pieces over there, great job!
Thanks man!
Tha apps I mentioned are not fir free but certenly fun to play with and you make it back when selling some nfts.
Also I think that everytine the nft gets resold the original creator recives a part, I think 10,% or something, but don't take my word for it hahah

BEER.Hmm do you know about opensea.io?
No, I am a total newbie in the NFT world. That´s why I am asking my more experienced fellows :) You offer some NFT on that platform?
Well I am not an artist but I have seen it on YouTube.
You can also get help from YouTube as well.
But yeah, stay cautious :)
I am not experinced, but your post made me wonder too, how to create a NFT 🙄
So feel free to check out the replies here in the comments with me ;) I am sure we will get some useful feedback.
I will for sure ;)

Wow, thank you guys! :)
I have some art on NTF)
I would like to develop this page in the future. Only I need a tablet for drawing digital art) and also learn how to draw digital art. lol)
Thanks for your reply :) What platform do you upload your NFT artworks on? Would you mind sharing your portfolio with us?
I've been reading the comments, and just like everybody else I don't get it... but hey, I didn't get Bitcoin back in 2013 either. What I've discovered in a brief research is that it's rather Ethereum expensive to cast these NFTs, and that the guys making serious money are already well-stablished artists. Anyways. I'd try to cast some art and see if it works.
Yeah, that´s my plan :) Just need to find some time for that, it´s been really busy here on the chain lately, having a hard time keeping up with my usual routine here...
Very interesting amazing there are so many weird ways of making crazy money and this seems like one of them in what I have read in these comments I have been hearing about NFT but just haven't had time to look into it I must do. Thanks for sharing this info have a great Merry Christmas my friend 🎅🎄🎅
Sorry for the late reply man, been too busy during the Christmas. Yeah, it does seem like one crazy way to make a lot of money (at least for some lucky people :D) I think I will give it a shot too, nothing to lose...
No problem man, I will have a look into myself it sounds interesting 👍

Thanks for sharing your opinion on this topic buddy, I can definitely relate to a lot from your view :) It really looks like this whole NFT world has been super wild and unpredictable so far, just take a look at this article for example. Pictures consisting of literally just a few colorful pixels selling for millions of dollars. Crazy. And totally random I think... But yeah, just like you said, crypto had to look exactly like this back in the old days and look where we are today...
Sorry for the late reply man, busy Christmas time :D Yeah, I totally get your points. This whole thing seems just as crazy to me too but again, the concept of crypto also seemed crazy a decade ago and now it´s almost mainstream... The progress of technology and lifestyle has been just way to frantic lately. Or is actually still progress? :D I don´t know :D
Thanks for sharing your thoughts man, I appreciate it. Sorry to see your comments are still being downvoted :/
Good to see you being so excited again :) Yeah, I am also one of those who will always prefer the real world to the virtual one, that´s for sure ;) Taking a walk on a beach or in a forest, smell the fresh air, hear the birds singing and the waves crushing... No Meta/Virtual/Avatar whatever can ever replace that for me.
Happy New Year my friend and good luck on your travels!
