This is the latest edition to my collection which features old school toys with HIVE. This time I mix Rockem Sockem robots with HIVE and STEEM.
The original 3D model was created by Sebastián Espinoza and I downloaded it from his page on sketchlab
The model was great, but it wasn't what I wanted, luckily windows 10 has a really cool free and very easy to use 3D model editor built in called 3D BUILDER
I opened the model in 3D builder, the first thing I did was to edit out the ring, because I had already created a ring that I liked better.
This is the Rockem Sockem ring that I made using my primary 3D creation program called poser12 The main reason I chose to use mine is because it rendered better then the original.
I made the controls out of various primitves that I have in my poser12 library.
The model rig would not work in my program, so I had to edit the head on the red robot and the left arm on the blue robot to get the look that I wanted.
I added the headless version of the red bot and the blue bot with one arm, and I added the other parts to them.
Then came the easy part, I used a 3D Hive logo and painted it the same color as the hive bot to make it look like it was built in. This part was critical because I wanted to make sure that you guys could actually see the logos on their backs because that's kind of the whole point lol
I did the same with the steem robot.
At the end of course I made HIVE the winner! I had a blast making this, it brought back a lot of old memories from childhood when me and my brother would play with this thing for hours. And now, I have been waiting all day to say this... LETS GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEEE! The NFT is available on NFT Showcase, there are only 2 editions, and they are 15 hive each, you can get it HERE
