Special Thanks to Olugbenga Ayeni on this one.

It was tough as her parents fought through her conception. Like any mother would experience, her pregnancy came with great pains and tribulations. However, the pain was no match for the joy at her arrival. It was a dream come true!

Her birth was not coincidental, rather divinely. Her make was that of greatness full of assurance. At a gaze, she is an epitome of beauty "a treasure filled with amazing beauties on the inside"; an asset to her generation and the generations to come.

Her unique features appeals promising to the entire human race. However, her parents who fought for her emancipation could not wait to see her grow into an adult characterized with "Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress"

Who would then bell the cat to nurture her? Any hopes?

Like a baby, she suffered fighting her way through the developmental stages. Like a child learning to walk, her fears sometimes shivered her from her call and goal. In this process, many scorned and laughed as she fell to the ground.

Many hopeful of her future are becoming frail and bewildered of her survival. She is now an entity who lives in fear. Hmmmm..., only time will tell if she would fulfill destiny.

Daily, she faces tremendous challenges and pains in form of killings, hatred, sentiments, nepotism, corruption, tribal and religious hitches have overwhelmed her.

She now fights hard to be strong.

Where is my country headed?

Can someone find the missing compass? It seems we lost it to time.

Any hope for her amidst these great tribulations and challenges?

Can her beauty be regained?

Can her people find hope?

Where is the first love?

In all of these, I'm optimistic that she will be great again.

Let her people come together, embrace one another to fight this good course.

Let the Nigeria of my dream find her place.

Happy 58th Independence anniversary to the Green Nation!

Happy 58th Independence anniversary to the Pride of Africa!

Happy 58th Independence anniversary to my dear country, Nigeria!

I pray that her strength be renewed in this season.

I pray that her lost beauty and glory be restored.

I pray she experiences and enjoys abundance in all her dealings.

May wisdom rest on her leaders and may her inhabitants be happy all the days of their lives.
