Morning steemians!

Saw this intresting piece somewhere and i had to share...

When you hear the rates for school fees these days, even playgroup ooo, you start to wonder. I changed my kids school few terms ago when it was like we were working for the old school. .
.
I felt we had failed the kids the first day I dropped them off I literally wept all the way home. #truestory#. I am fine now, and I'll write about it someday. But for now let's talk about why some of us enslave ourselves to these schools.

Here are a few reasons;

  1. Most times we equate quality with price. This is not always true .
  2. We want to maintain a certain class and we feel they have to be in a certain school with certain kids.O.Y.O for you
  3. We don't have time anyway so we outsource everything that the kids need to learn with to the school, so it literally has to have everything. - children's learning and development is a joint effort. The school alone is not responsible. If you like take your child to the best school, if your own diction is bad, your child will most likely pick your twisted tongue. 🙈sorry.
  4. Our friends kids go there. Don't be a #groupie it's okay to be different sometimes. I know we like to decide based on referrals, which is not a bad thing, but do your own checks too, bearing in mind your pocket and what you can afford.
  5. We don't want to go far to do school runs. - I am guilty of this. 🙆that waka is not easy.

There are a lot of other reasons. But let's sit back and think about it again critically. Our children will be great; But at the end of the day be true to yourself.

P.S Did you watch the video of one Indian boy who describes himself as a cognitive software developer or so. He is a product of homeschooling,think about that.
Don't lead yourself into depression over high school fees if you can't afford it

About best schools, this what i think:
Best school is relative! The school you can afford aside from the other benefits to the child is what you can boldly say is "the best school". Whereas, to some other, that which you are saying is the best school does not come close to what they regard as "best school" for their children. And then another who cannot afford what you see as lower school to yours they see it as "the best school" . . . .
In all the Children are getting educated right! We thank God. . . There are parents that cannot afford any of these three categories I stated here. Their children are at home, praying, hoping, trusting that one day sha, the opportunity will come for them to go to school, as in any school!!!
It's another academic year, parents please use your heads ... May God help us and see us through....HAPPY RESUMPTION...! ()
