It was Christmas of 2005 when I received my very first copy of Animal Crossing: Wild World and I quickly became enamored with the game's unique style, the fun and mindless activities in-game and the variety of minutiae in the game which has made Animal Crossing a powerhouse of fond memories and endless hours of fun - even twelve years later.

During the past couple months, word has spread on forums and websites 'ahem - reddit' about the wildly anticipated video game; Animal Crossing Mobile. Some of the news was nay-saying, while others made bold claims about the game with little backing it up (new game content, new game mechanics etc).

Fear not my friendly city folk, you'll be able to pick fruit and chat with your town favourites very soon as the game is "...still on track to launch this year."

This unique game has gained quite a large following and fans will be delighted to know that Nintendo continues to work on developing this game for our smartphones. Much of the confusion regarding whether or not Nintendo actually planned to move forward with a mobile version of Animal Crossing was in part due to E3 not having much focus on Nintendo's mobile application side. But can we blame them? The Nintendo Switch is pretty amazing.

I'd like to get your input...

What would you like to see in a new version/release/iteration of Animal Crossing? Would you be against in-game purchases? Additional tools? New fruit? Larger towns? Let me know in the comments! If you're as much of an Animal Crossing fan as I am, I cannot wait to get some input.
