NISM - Litepaper (part 4)

in #nism5 months ago (edited)

EVENTS

Some events and things to do in this game are live and in full effect. That being said, some of them also involve winning and paying real money, so we will ensure that a disconnect mechanism is in place allowing a person up to 5 minutes to reconnect and finish a tournament battle or pit fight.

TOURNAMENTS

We will sponsor tournaments every weekend. Extra divisions in the tournaments will be added as more players gain higher levels. One will be free entry, the other will be X to enter (TBD). Tournaments can be more frequent as the player base grows. There will be a few different kinds of tournaments, but two primarily to start with. LIVE and BOARDED (like boarding your pets). The mechanics for battling will be relatively the same.

  • This will be treated as one big pit fight (minus the wagers/betting) and it will be a live event. Entries close 24 hours prior to beginning of tournament. There will be a 72 hour window before that for entries.
  • The entry form will ask which NISM you are entering and once entered, cannot be changed.
  • NISMs in tournaments will not be affected in their daily play. Meaning, if a NISM is knocked out in a tournament, they will still pick up where they left off for exploring outside of the tournament and there will be no penalty to any of the regenerative stats. After each round, the NISM is fully healed to participate in the next round.
  • The tournament(s) for now will be 1v1 knockout tournaments until there is only one. Then, 1st place, second place (the player that lost the championship) and 3rd place, the player that lost to the 1st place player, will be awarded whatever prizes we have in store. Prizes will vary from Fiat to Cryptocurrencies to tangible items and in-game assets. The primary decision will rest on the sponsors themselves.
  • Trophies will also be awarded to the top three placements as well, and they will be pretty. Trophies will have a use in a later version of the game. Trophies will say which tournament they won/placed in. i.e. – “First ever NISM Knockout Tournament – 3rd Place” upon closer inspection in the items section of a player’s profile.

LIVE

  • In a live tournament, players must be present to participate. They will be announced through the PIM 7 days in advance. I do not want more than weekly (and bigger monthly) tournaments at this point from us. They will (for now) be held on Saturdays and Sundays. Players will be allowed to enter (and pay any entry fees there may be) starting 96 hours before the tournament. This gives them a little time to prepare. Once 72 hours are up, then the entry list closes and players will wait 24 hours before the tournament starts. Battling will be the same as a PVP or NPC encounter. The only difference will be the background graphics. Tournaments are typically sponsored, so will be reflected by the sponsor choosing the background.

BOARDED

  • These will be tournaments where a player does not need to be present, but an AI will ‘predict’ who wins based on the stats of the ones entered. They will have their own entry qualifications.
    Sponsorships
  • We are aiming to acquire both regular and limited sponsors for our tournaments inside and outside of the Web 3 space. Anything from Nike, Microsoft, or Amazon to Hive, Wax or Polygon. We are indiscriminate and will be seeking out sponsors to make our tournaments be the best they can possibly be!

PAGEANTS

Who doesn’t love to dress up their dolls? Well, NISMs, in this case. One thing that really seems to be attractive to some people is dressing up things – like a doll. I must admit, I have had fun in the past at Halloween! HA! So, there will be some attributes, skills and cosmetics that will accent what I am calling ‘pageants’.
There will be a pageant for three categories every Saturday (for now). A player may only enter one of them with one NISM. They will be announced and enterable through the TNN channel on a player’s PIM by tapping the ‘enter xxx xxxxx’ bubble at the end of the announcement. They will then be asked which one they want to enter and which NISM they are entering. The pageants will go for 3 days upon starting, allowing people to vote on the NISMs entered.

  • Beauty Pageant – this will be a pageant that focuses on the outer beauty of a NISM. The primary stats/attributes for these will be Virtue, Instinct and Bond levels. (Only Befriended NISMs may enter a beauty pageant.) Can be accented with cosmetic purchases & creations.
  • Science Fair – this will be a pageant that focuses on the intelligence of players’ NISMs. The primary stats/attributes for these will be Intellect, Agility and the NISMs experience level. (Only NISMs acquired via trades may enter a Science Fair.) Some items may boost their performance.
  • Bodybuilder Competition – this will focus on the power of a NISM. The primary stats/attributes to be considered will be Strength, Endurance and Bond levels. (Only Captured NISMs may enter a Bodybuilder Competition.) Can be accented with cosmetic purchases & creations.

Prizes & Levels

  • There will be 3 sub-categories based on the experience of the players themselves. Up to level 9 pageants, level 10-25 pageants, and level 26+. (So really, 9 pageants each Saturday and the levels may be adjusted as time goes on.) There will be first, second and third places. Third place will get something very nominal. Second place will get something slightly better. 1st place will get the best, plus a medal for their NISM. Medals awarded will give very nominal but permanent boosts or perks depending on their (the pageants’) nature to the NISM that won the medal. I figure this is a part of the game where we can really reel in some interest from outside parties. Imagine donations for prizes for the ‘Cine TV Science Fair’ or ‘Paris Hilton Beauty Pageant’ or ‘The Bodybuilder Showdown from The PIMP District’.

How to WIN a Pageant

  • They will be comprised of three different scoring components totaling a max possible score of.
  • The first is the NISM Score. 20 points will be divided up 3 ways based on the AI score for the NISM itself. 10 for the best score, 7 for second and 3 for third best score. The AI will ping all the possible contributing factors for that pageant. Since all NISMs will be different, there should be no discrepancy in the determination of scores.
  • The second will be the ‘Social Score’. This will be for other players to vote on their favorite NISMs in the competition. They must vote for their top 3 favorites, or their vote will not be counted. Points to be awarded are 10 for 1st, 7 for second and 3 for 3rd. If there is a tie, the winner will be chosen by the first vote that came in from a registered player. A link will be given to your NISM entry for them to send to friends or post on social media. I can see many a Hive post or X ‘tweet’ spawning for the social vote. A person may not vote on their own NISM entry, but if they do decide to vote for 3 others, they get 5 bonus points added to their overall score in the pageant.
  • The third component will be the ‘Entrant Score’. This is tallied by the number of steps a player has accumulated with the NISM they entered that week (and that week only). This will also be broken down into 10 for 1st, 7 for 2nd and 3 for 3rd.
  • This will give a grand total for 35 possible points. The three highest scores win whatever is up for grabs in that pageant.

Factions and Pit Fights

Pit Fights

These will be treated like a PVP encounter with a few modifications. Faction membership and wagering will be the things considered that make these interesting. A player does not need to be part of a faction to enter in a pit fight. The matches will be determined by whoever enters first. There is no level matchmaking and no reveal as to who is next in line or in front of you.

Pit fights are run by the controlling faction of certain buildings or areas. Players do not win anything from the bets unless they place one themselves and/or are a member of the faction controlling the building. A player wins the entry fee minus the 25% faction rake.

A pit fight initiates when two players visit the ‘building’ and put up their entry fees. Upon two players entering, a round of bets will be taken after the players are revealed. Only 1 NISM per pit fight. These are battles for real money and the winner of a pit fight will get whatever the entry fee was minus the faction rake.

  • Entering – anyone may enter a pit fight and there is no level discrimination. That means, you could be traveling with a NISM around level 20 and face someone with a NISM at level 40 – and still win.
  • Entry Fee – this will be determined by the faction leader and can only be changed once per week. Any in-game currency will be accepted. (NISMs will be added as entry fees in future updates)
  • Bets – these will only consist of DigiBits or Bits. They payout 2:1 to the winners and there is no ‘house rake’.
  • Battling – these will be the exact same as an NPC or PVP battle except with another cosmetic difference. That being the background. The background will be chosen by the faction leader using whatever they have at their disposal.
  • XP – will be gained the same as defeating an NPC or another player.
  • Factions can take control of a ‘building’ or area by having the faction they are a part of win 5 pit fights in a row for their faction.
  • No bet can be greater than 25% of what is already in the controlling faction’s treasury to afford a payout for the bets placed. If a maximum of the treasury's holdings (25%) are taken up by bets, all bets are considered closed until the next round and bets can be covered again from entry fees. All bets will be considered in, if/once the threshold is reached or the 3-minute bet window has fully expired.
  • If a person loses a bet, they forfeit their bet amount, and it gets added to the treasury to cover future betting.
  • If a person wins a bet, they will automatically be paid to their in-game wallet found on their profile.
  • They are won by rendering the opposing NISM unconscious (bringing its health to 1%). At which point, the NISM will be automatically withdrawn to the PIM, sent home, and be on a 24-hour cooldown to recuperate.

Factions

In this game, factions will be offered and able to be joined. Ultimately, player created factions will rise. A warning will be announced when you enter a faction’s area (even if you are a member) asking you if you wish to proceed and how. Visit the Warehouse or Enter a Pit Fight. While at a faction building or area, there will also be a list of all the faction members, starting with any friends, proceeding to enemies and then other players. This can be seen in the Faction Warehouse as a submenu alongside the other choices. It is not mandatory for a person to be a part of any faction. However, once a person joins, they may not join another faction for 6 months. They may leave at any time. There will be advantages to being a member of one though.

  • Faction leaders will be NPCs until the option to create your own factions becomes available within the game.
  • Faction members split 10% of all the entry fees for every pit fight, sent out once per day based upon their share/percentage of the faction treasury holdings.
  • Members that are online when a pit fight has been initiated in their territory will be notified and have the option to bet on the outcome of the battle.
  • There will be a Faction Warehouse where faction members (only) will be allowed to list things for sale or trade.

Quests

Some quests in the game will only be able to be completed by the cooperation of a faction. This is to encourage team building in the hopes that people make a few friends along the way.

Malicious

Outside of the player factions, a fully functional NPC faction will exist called ‘Malicious’. They are the bad guys in the game and can often be found farming NISMs to battle in their pit fights or defacing properties across the planet. If they see you, the lower ranked ones will most often attack without warning and force you to engage in a battle. The descending ranks (currently) go from General to Captain to Enforcer to Grunt. More may be added as the game evolves and the players help to shape it.

Treasury

  • There will be a faction treasury, where people can deposit some currency into, in-game, and each time a pit fight is won, members of the faction will receive payments from the entry rakes (10%) accumulated daily, based on their percentage of the treasury’s holdings.
  • The treasury will also (or can be) used as an in-game sponsor for some tournaments. A faction can recognize a great player and offer to pay for their tournament entry fee to represent the faction in hopes others will join and engage in their faction activities.
  • For a 4% rake on any sales (2% paid to all faction members on a daily accumulation and 2% goes to the treasury to cover bets), faction members may list items for sale in the Faction Warehouse.
  • Faction members may also list items for trade free of charge in the Faction Warehouse.

Locations and Buildings

Something that is often associated with games are buildings, land, locations, and the like. There will be different kinds of locations and buildings in NISMs. Some will be player oriented and some will be controlled by the game infrastructure itself. People will be able to ‘discover’ new locations as the geolocative services are implemented and also find hidden places as they set out on their adventure.

The Trade Center

This is where all the shops will be where players can purchase items to use in the game. It is also where people can trade or sell their assets. It will have different ‘shops’ within it aside from the main Trade Center hub itself. The Trade Center portal will be on screen and have portals to other shops:

Daily Deals

  • this will be any deals we have going on for the day.

Event Horizon

  • this will be any event items or packages that we currently have in stock.

Snack Shack

  • this is where you find consumables that can be purchased from us for the player or their NISMs. A list of items is found below. Submenus will be food, drink, and meals. A list of the items we currently have come up is listed in another section.

The Merit Outlet

  • this is the shop where people can trade in the Merits they have accumulated. Some items or NISMs will be specific to accumulating and only available by purchase with Merits.

Players’ Club

  • this is the top tier, super awesome items and special deals shop for members only.

Gamers Guild

  • this is the middle tier store with other items and things only available to Gamer’s Guild memberships and above.

Retail Central

  • this is a basic store where non consumables can be purchased from within the game.

TradeWinds

  • this is where people can propose trades by listing XXXX in exchange for XXXX. XXXX can be another NISM, currency or items they wish to attain in exchange for whatever they choose to trade for. This will likely be broken down into smaller, more specific outlets with search capabilities as time goes on allowing for easier navigation of TradeWinds. There will be a 5% merchant fee that will go to the game for housing your merchandise you have for sale upon them being sold and a nominal listing fee for any trade proposals. In the future, a wanted board will be introduced.

The Repo Depot

  • this will be a unique addition once it is implemented. It is designed for rock bottom sales on items and/or NISMs that have been forfeited by the failure of a person to maintain their membership. Some of these could be limited edition cosmetics or extraordinary NISMs, we won’t know until it happens. If a membership lapses, a player will have their information stored for 90 days and if they do not renew any level of membership, they will lose their character and all assets and have to start completely over in the game.

Marketplaces/Kiosks

These will unlock in the future when a player reaches a certain level. Players will be allowed to set them up and offer trades and sales of their own volition without the penalty of our game holding the merchandise for others to shop for. These can be found in a friend’s home, and it is TBD how else these will be approached. They will likely be similar to faction zones only with a personal kiosk, a player can either rent or buy a certain area to set up their shop.

Faction Depots

When entering a faction’s zone, a notification will appear on your PIM when you enter (even if you are a member) asking you if you wish to proceed and how. Visit the Depot or Enter a Pit Fight.

  • As stated above, Faction Depots will be where faction members can list things for sale or trade.
  • Anyone can buy items or accept trades from the Faction Depots, and this is where you can see a list of the faction’s members.
  • For a 4% rake on any sales (2% paid to all faction members on a daily accumulation and 2% goes to the treasury to cover bets), only faction members may list items for sale in the Faction Depot.
  • Faction members may also list items for trade free of charge in the Faction Depot.

Tokenomics

As stated earlier, this is a Web 2 game and there is only one thing on the cryptocurrency level that will be devised. That is, pegging the in-game currency (DigiBits), to HBD (Hive Backed Dollars). DigiBits will have a smaller denomination called ‘Bits’. 1000 Bits will equal one Digibit. Hive (the blockchain) has done a wonderful job at keeping HBD pegged to one US dollar, and so, we will help to bring it forward as a premiere currency by using it as a peg in our game, with the strong faith that Web 2 moves forward with us into Web 3.

I also feel that this will take pressure off the selling factor associated with HIVE (the native cryptocurrency) by keeping a new demand for HBD present. This will be good for everyone involved in that social sphere and hopefully get new eyes on this flexible blockchain.

NISM – Game Items

Within the game, there will be all different kinds of items. Some will be used for boosting a stat or attribute. Some will be consumable, some for dress-up and obviously, the currencies used to buy things with and accept payment for. Most games seek to create their own token or cryptocurrency when involved with the Web 3 space, but I say, if it ain’t broke, why fix it?

Currencies

In the PIM interface, there will be a wallet accessible either from HOME or at the TRADE CENTER. When that is interacted with, your in-game balances should be displayed, if not already visible in the menu you are in. First, it will say DB (DigiBits) – xamount, then right next to it B (Bits) – xamount. This may also be written as X.123 DB meaning X DigiBits and 123 Bits. TBD. Below that, it should display the amount of SkipBits they have available, beside how many Merits they have earned. The bottom of that, will show If they have any specific membership(s).

  • Digibits – The primary currency in-game that will be pegged to one (1) HBD minus Google fees (if any per transaction) and a 1% rake. Hope that equation makes sense.
  • Bits – 1000 Bits = 1 Digibit – 1000 makes sense and will give it a beautiful functionality allowing for microtransactions and very nominal sales/purchases to exist.
  • ‘SkipBits’ – SkipAd tokens will be used to skip ads for a better user experience. One ‘SkipBit’ will allow a player to not get any ads for 24 hours. These can be purchased in the Trade Center. Value TBD.
  • Merits – these will be in-game tokens earned for playing that are used in the Trade Center to swap for in-game item(s).

Merits (Game Progress Rewards)

Merits are daily ‘tokens’ that players can get for completing certain challenges throughout a 24 hour, weekly and monthly period(s). It is a currency that cannot be bought, only earned, encouraging game play.

This is more for the characters/players rather than the NISMs. A section in the Trade Center will be dedicated specifically to them called ‘The Merit Outlet’.

The Merit Outlet will change its inventory from time to time and can be adjusted as the item/boost/cosmetic list is populated. Some parameters I thought would be useful to include for them are:

  • Can be sent to friends.
  • Can only be earned and used in-game.
  • Traded for items, boosts, etc.
  • Merit Specific items and NISMs.
Ways to earn Merits

I have three lists you are going to see; one is for a daily Merit bonus, one will be for a weekly Merit bonus and, finally, the monthly Merit bonus. These are subject to change as the game proceeds allowing for adaptation as the real value is yet TBD.

Memberships

Monthly memberships are going to be available in the game, some of which can be purchased on a yearly or weekly basis. Mind you, anyone can play this game for free for up to 89 days, upon which they will be prompted to purchase a membership or forfeit their character and any items/NISMs they have. If not already purchased, on levels 5 and 9 (character level), a prompt will be sent to the PIM asking them if they would like to purchase a membership and unlock certain features in the game.

These will be automatic draft subscriptions that renew each interval they initially paid for. A player must manually up or downgrade their membership if they so choose and any refund due will be taken off the final cost. If a player does not have the funds, the subscription will be cancelled, and they will have to renew it manually, upon which, it will then again be automated at their chosen interval.

They are free to cancel their membership at any time. Player information will be retained for 90 days upon a cancellation at which point, all assets will be forfeit. Said assets may be sold or reissued by the game. A player can still play and withdraw anything they wish within those 90 days as a free to play individual, and, on the 89th day, the prompt to purchase a membership will appear with the loss of asset warning attached.

Players Club

  • This is the primo membership. These will cost $2.99 per week, $9.99 a month or $99.99 for a year. This will eliminate ads entirely. It will also give the player access to the other 2 exclusive shops they can enter with premium and limited items, only for the Players Club. There will be freebie packages that can be claimed each week from within the shop itself for members of the Players Club. High end merchandise like limited cosmetic issues and/or NISMs will also be seen there before (or if) they hit the open market. A few ‘Players Club Only’ items may appear from time to time or random thank you packages. Can be purchased via the Play Store with Google Pay or from their in-game wallet with DigiBits.

Gamers Guild

  • These will cost $4.99 per month or $49.99 for a year. This will open a new section of the Trade Center where we will have better offers and packages than can be found in the other shops. A few freebie packages that can be claimed each week from within the shop itself for members of the Gamers Guild will be present. It will also give a player ‘SkipBits’ that they can use to skip ads for any given day. 15 will be allotted for a monthly purchase and 250 for a yearly membership. This also unlocks factions, kiosks, and pageants. Can be purchased via the Play Store with Google Pay or from their in-game wallet with DigiBits.

Basic

  • A basic membership only unlocks the full game and is 0.99 cents per month. This is the only package with one tier. There may be a few freebies they can claim from within the Trade Center from time to time. They cannot join a faction on a basic membership, may not own a kiosk, nor can they enter any pageants. All other features will be unlocked for them, and they can even qualify as an affiliate. Can be purchased via the Play Store with Google Pay or from their in-game wallet with DigiBits.
Affiliates
  • all players that purchase a membership, will then be issued an affiliate link. This entitles them to earn from anyone that signs up on their link if they still have an active membership. For now, the numbers that resonate with me are 5 and 10 percent on one flat level. In the future, it may be revisited and go deeper, we’ll just have to see how it goes. For now (once in place), they will earn 10% of any memberships’ purchased by the people that sign up on their link and 5% of any sales outside of a membership. Packages that include memberships will be treated as a membership sale and qualify for 10%. If a person’s membership lapses, any sales that would have gone to them will go to the game and a notification will be sent saying they missed X commission because they failed to renew their membership, would you like to now?

Food and Drink

Also referred to as consumables, these are the items that will be used to replenish the two degrading stats – HP & EP. None of them regenerate unless the NISM is rested, so these will be a great thing to buy. There will be two tiers of these, one which is only able to be purchased. Some of them will be able to be found in the wild (if your NISM has that ability) or can be dropped after battles with NPC or wild NISMs. The drop rate itself is a 5% chance and percentages of an item dropping is listed with them.

Food

This will be what restores a NISM’s HP in the game. Since there are no ways to regenerate HP (but a few special items that haven’t made the list yet) these will be necessary to keep on playing.

  • Nibblets – restore 10 HP – 10% chance of being dropped. Always and only sold in the Trade Center Snack Shack for 100 BITS. (Unless someone finds some and sells them themselves.)
  • Nibbles – restore 25 HP – 3% chance of being dropped. Always and only sold in the Trade Center Snack Shack for 250 BITS. (Unless someone finds some and sells them themselves.)
  • Nibblots – restore 50 HP – 1% chance of being dropped. Always and only sold in the Trade Center for Snack Shack 500 BITS. (Unless someone finds some and sells them themselves.)
  • NubNubs – fully restore HP – Always and only sold in the Trade Center Snack Shack for 1 DIGIBIT.

Drink

This will be what restores a NISMs EP in the game. Since there are no ways to regenerate HP (but a few special items that haven’t made the list yet, wink wink) these will be necessary to keep on playing.

  • Dripplets – restore 3 EP – 10% chance of being dropped. Always and only sold in the Trade Center Snack Shack for 100 BITS. (Unless someone finds some and sells them themselves.)
  • Dripples – restore 10 EP – 3% chance of being dropped. Always and only sold in the Trade Center for Snack Shack 250 BITS. (Unless someone finds some and sells them themselves.)
  • Dripplots – restore 20 EP – 1% chance of being dropped. Always and only sold in the Trade Center for Snack Shack 500 BITS. (Unless someone finds some and sells them themselves.)
  • DripDrops – fully restore EP – Always and only sold in Trade Center Snack Shack for 1 DIGIBIT

Meals

I thought this a clever combo of both food and drink LOLZ! Meals, however, will not be found in the wild, and can only be bought at the Trade Center Snack Shack (or won or traded with a friend).

  • Nummies – restore 20 HP and 5 EP – Always and only sold at the Trade Center Snack Shack for 200 BITS. (Unless someone gets some and sells them themselves.)
  • NumNums – restore 45 HP and 15 EP – Always and only sold at the Trade Center Snack Shack for 500 BITS. (Unless someone gets some and sells them themselves.)
  • NOMNOMs – (must be capitalized because they’re so NOMMY) fully restore HP and EP – always and only sold at the Trade Center Snack Shack for 2 DIGIBITS. (Unless someone gets some and sells them themselves.)
NISM drops

Throughout the game, sometimes, a NISM will find an item or drop something themselves. Those will be special abilities and will be listed in the NISM sheet for each NISM. Better abilities will obviously come with higher rarity NISMs.

  • Harvested – Some NISMs will drop items from themselves. For instance, a birdlike NISM may drop some plumes or feathers. A The frequency will be dictated by the Maturity level combined with the Bond level.
  • Gifted – Sometimes, a NISM may like you a little more than a little bit, and gift you a random consumable or other item.
  • Discovery – Sometimes, a NISM will find something while you are traveling with it.

Achievements

These are things in the game that is what led to the play to earn gaming we have now. This is what started the gamification process of any and all things. As I mentioned before, they can be displayed in a player’s home with their top ten most prized (TBD) on an achievement wall. This is more for personal pats on the back for the player than anything. (There may or may not be some other things that will happen upon achieving certain things.) They will have cute little relative icons in their profile and on the wall in their homes. There is no list in game for a player to know what achievements exist until they get them – or their friends tell them. This list will likely grow over time. Here is a list of the ones I have come up with so far that I am willing to tell you about:

  • One Small Step – player has reached their first 10,000 steps.
  • One Giant Leap – player has reached 100,000 steps.
  • The Energizer Bunny – player reaches one million steps.
  • I Love Pets – player has captured 10 unique NISMs (Anomalous versions count as unique, despite being the same NISM).
  • Zookeeper – player has captured 100 unique NISMs (Anomalous versions count as unique, despite being the same NISM).
  • Turning on the Charm – player has befriended 10 unique NISMs (Anomalous versions count as unique, despite being the same NISM).
  • Irresistible – player has befriended 100 unique NISMs (Anomalous versions count as unique, despite being the same NISM).
  • Gandhi – player has captured 1000 NISMs and befriended 1000 NISMs.
  • Winner, Winner – player has won 10 PVP battles.
  • Chicken Dinner – player has won 100 PVP battles.
  • Conqueror – player has won 1000 PVP battles.
  • Participation Trophy – player entered a tournament or pageant.
  • Medal of Honor – player has won 10 LIVE tournaments.
  • Badge of Courage – player has won 100 LIVE tournaments.

Power-Ups

Not to be confused with ‘Boosts’, these items give your NISM some kind of stat or attribute gain etc. for a limited time. These can be only purchased at the Trade Center in the ‘Snack Shack’. Once purchased, a player can use them, sell them, trade them, or even just gift them to other players. Power-Ups do not stack. Once a power-up is used, the effects must wear off before another can be used. A list of the ones I have come up with so far:

  • N&Ns – gives a NISM +5 to defense for one hour. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • Stikkles – gives a NISM +5 to attack power for one hour. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • Twillzers – gives a NISM +5 to primal defense for one hour. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • TikTak – gives a NISM +5 to primal attack power for one hour. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • Tootzees – gives a NISM +25% dodge chance for one hour. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • Sweedeez – gives a NISM +5 to speed for one hour. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • 007ong – doubles the effects character actions have on the bond level of the NISM that uses it for 4 hours. Sold only in the Gamers Guild and Players Club for 5 DigiBits.
  • MonStar – reduces fatigue by 25% for a NISM for 4 hours. Sold only in the Gamers Guild and Players Club for 5 DigiBits.
  • JupaCoe – gives a NISM +2 to all attributes for 1 NISM for one (1) hour. Sold only in the Gamers Guild and Players Club for 5 DigiBits.
  • Darj33ling – gives a NISM +3 to all attributes for 1 NISM for two (2) hours. Sold exclusively in the Players Club for 5 DigiBits.
  • 5encha – reduces fatigue by 50% for a NISM 4 hours. Sold exclusively in the Players Club for 5 Digibits.

Boosts

Boosts give your character some kind of advantage for a limited time. Similar to Power-Ups, these are for the player themselves. These can be purchased only from the Trade Center. Boosts do not stack. Once a boost is used, the effects must wear off before another boost may be used. Once they are acquired, can be sold, traded, or given to any other player. Here’s what I have so far:

  • Double Time – It doubles the step count for the player (NOT the NISM) for 30 minutes. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • Tincture – Increases capture rate by 25% for 30 minutes. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • Muddy Berry – Increases chance to befriend wild NISMs by 10% for 30 minutes. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • The Connery – Increases bond effects by 25% on all NISMs traveled with for 30 minutes. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • HanMattin – Increases item drop rate from all battles by 10% for 30 minutes. Sold in the Trade Center for 500 BITS.
  • RAWR – increases chances of encountering a rarer NISM by 10% for 30 minutes. Sold in the Trade Center for 1 DigiBit.
  • Absin – increases chance to befriend wild NISMs by 15% for 30 minutes. Sold only in the Gamers Guild and Players Club for 5 DigiBits.
  • #9 – increases bond effects by 50% on all NISMs traveled with for 30 minutes. Sold only in the Gamers Guild and Players Club for 5 DigiBits.
  • CrewStriver – gives all NISMs being traveled with +3 to all attributes for 2 hours. Sold exclusively in the Players Club for 5 Digibits.
  • RokStar – increases chances of encountering a rarer NISM by 25% for 1 hour. Sold exclusively in the Players Club for 10 DigiBits.
  • Baklava – increases chance to befriend wild NISMs by 25% and increases bond effects by 25% for 1 hour. Sold exclusively in the Players Club for 10 DigiBits.
  • Tiramisu - doubles the step count for the player and NISMs traveled with and increases item drop rate from all battles by 25% for one hour. Sold exclusively in the Players Club for 10 DigiBits.
  • Crème Brulé - increases chances of encountering a rarer NISM by 25%, and gives all NISMs being traveled with +2 to all attributes for one hour. Sold exclusively in the Players Club for 10 DigiBits.

Wild Discovery

Another way that people can acquire items is through finding them somehow in the wild while they are exploring and grinding. A person could potentially make a bit of money by doing this and undercutting what the items are listed for in the Trade Center Snack Shack.

  • Battle drops – These will fall based on the parameters I set above. The only items currently that can be dropped from winning a battle are certain food and drinks. When we are comfortable, we may include other things, even BITs (upon a substantial earning base or for promotional limited times).
  • Random item finds – Some NISMs will have special abilities such as ‘search’ or ‘explore’. For instance, a dog type NISM would sniff out something (search) while it was walking with the player and at higher levels of Maturity and Bond levels, the items would get better.

Cosmetics

This is where we can have some more fun with the creative side of it all. This is also going to be huge for companies or organizations that want to promote their products and/or services. Some can be static imaging and others will be full-on animated awesomeness. We can initially come up with our own, some that perhaps feature a certain NISM or just made-up sets like ‘Sunny Side Set’ where it has daisies on the print of a dress and sunhat and shades and sandals with a matching scarf for your NISM and skin for your PIM.

NISM

The NISMs themselves will have various things that can be equipped to them that will give them extra stat or attribute bonuses, some will react and act like Power-Ups and some will just have weird random things that will happen and make the game more fun. For fairness’ sake of not having any type of NISM more skewed with cosmetics, I have narrowed it down to three (3) – at least for now – things that will be adornments for the NISMs. These will give the NISM that is wearing it some kind of a bonus.

  • Clothing – this will simply be a scarf for now, as you can wrap a scarf around just about anything.
  • Accessories – these will consist of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.
  • Hairstyles – this should be obvious, but will look slightly different for different NISMs, it can be more of an adaptive wig than anything, that adjusts to fit the NISM.
  • Hats? – I am still trying to figure out how to make this one work, but would love to see it.

Avatar Outfits

These will be things that outfit the players’ characters and adorn them to be seen from either the 3rd person/bird’s eye view, in live tournaments and in PvP battles. Most of these will be limited editions, but we can have a basic wardrobe that isn’t or offer some cheap sets in the Trade Center. These will give the player a bonus.

  • Headgear – they should be worn on the head and will vary from skullies and beanies to ballcaps and headbands. Pretty open for the head.
  • Tops – goes on the torso of a character and can include but is not limited to shirts, jackets, blouses, and vests.
  • Bottoms – goes on the legging area of a character and can include but is not limited to shorts, leggings, pants, and skirts.
  • Footwear – this category is for shoes, sandals or anything that can be worn on your feet.
  • Outfits – these will be like costumes, dresses, suits, and things like that.
  • Accessories – mostly will consist of jewelry and that kind of thing, but sunglasses and the like could fall into here as well.

Home Decoration

I aim to eventually have a furniture and home deco store available and add tournaments for player voted homes with various categories. That will be in a future update, but for now, we’ll just have basic skins as they will be a one room ‘tiny home’ until we move forward with adding rooms to their housing. Categories can include:

  • Themes – have prebuilt themes for the players’ houses like Halloween, Goth, a ’Sweet Home’ with like flowers and stuff, whatever we come up with. Initially, it should just be basic, with a complexity increase as we expand on things that can be in a house/home.
  • PIM Storage Interface
  • Dining
  • Living
  • Bedroom
  • Wall Deco
  • Minigames – this is something that can be expanded on quite a bit. The first one I want in all homes – solitaire.

PIM

The primary thing outside of the environment that we will see is this so there has to be some sweet skins that are attached here. This is the Malibu or Pacific Heights of the game. Not the ultimate place for a promo to go, but a very viable one. There is only one that fit/wrap for the PIM, so it should look awesome and all of them should be limited editions within the game. It may or may not give the player a bonus, depending on what we come up with down the road.

Backgrounds

This is the Beverly Hills and Kensington Place in the game for sponsors. These will be displayed behind a player in tournaments and during the PVP battles. It will be the largest ‘skin’ that people will see in the game as it should take up the whole screen behind a player while they are battling. They should all be limited issue assets and should give some kind of bonus for the player and/or NISM(s).

Themed Packages

These will be the ‘sets’ that people can purchase like an ‘InLEO’ character set that adorns them in full LEO garb or NIKE set with a Hoodie and jogging pants and kicks or whatever and what have you. Some sets can be full on coverage of all the cosmetic categories and some can be sets for a NISM or character. Wide open here with the possibilities and combinations.

Playing to Earn

This is truly a free to play game. Are there pay walls? Yes. Will better things cost money? Yes. Can you play it for free? Yes. However, there is a plethora of fun and interesting ways you can also earn money back within this game. You could trade or sell some of the limited-edition skins or cosmetics you might win from a tournament. You could easily harvest certain materials or items from drops or exploration that other players use daily that are more readily found in your region. You could even train and then sell or trade your NISM(s)! We’ll let you get creative with your own virtual economy as you interact with other players as you progress.

Moving Forward

We have some goals in mind and are going to try hard to achieve them in a timely manner. We would like to call it a road map, but sometimes, the road has a landslide and things don’t go as fast as you’d like. Sometimes, you hit a massive turbo booster that sends you flying miles ahead of where you thought you would be. Keeping that in mind, here is a very rough outline of where we would like to be in said time:

  • Q4 2023: Announcement of NISM game and Hive only promotional presale unveiling. Rigging of several of the NISMs and a good start on graphics.
  • Q1 2024: Website construction and pre-Alpha testing of game to begin. The vast majority of initial concept art and graphics for series one to be underway. Rigging honed to a more substantial method.
  • Q2 2024: Public Alpha testing for the public to begin. Website completed. All initial NISM graphics to be completed with gameplay well underway and introduction of geolocation integration. Business development team to be assembled.
  • Q3 2024: Beta release of mobile game on Google Play and Android operating systems. Heavy marketing campaign to begin. Version for remote players to be preliminary phases and testing.
  • Q4 2024: Seasonal themes, promotional slotting, and quests to be pushed into the game as fine tuning is increased heavily and we move into version 1.0.

Hopefully, I have covered all the bases for you to make an informed decision about whether you would like to play the game. Personally, I can’t wait! But I am a bit biased. The main thing we are trying to accomplish above all else, is the fun factor. Our secondary goal is to slowly introduce gamers from the Web 2 world, into the beauty that is quickly becoming – Web 3.

I ism the NISM that ism the NISM that ism.
