Change of plans - Quartering some deer

in #norway7 years ago

A change of plans, quatering deer instead!

Yesterday, Tuesday is usually the day we do our band practice but yesterday was a little bit different. I was quartering a couple of deer for a close friend of mine who is traveling to Danmark once or twice a year to hunt game. When he comes home he gives me the honor to quarter it! I really enjoy this kind of work.

As a jornyman butcher, I'm just happy to show and teach my profession to others.

Deserve a good beer after that work!

I'll be hoping to do some of the same type of work in a couple of days. Moose hunt is about to start.

Yeah, thats right.. forgot about moose season, maybe there is more work for me to do soon!

I have written a post about the hunt for moose. We have to quarter the meat in the bush. Not to good for the meat but we get the job done!

Not bad, he's lucky to have your expertise. And you aswell, doing something you like :)

And not to forget the social part of it, is just a bonus!

Drinking beer and talking smack!:))

That is cool - never seen that before
Would like to eat it!

Cheers

The taste and texture of the meat is incredible. There will be more of this kind of stuff in the future:)

Awesome, keep it coming!
