I made a French learning tool using Notion templates: to keep myself focused

in #notion8 days ago

I want to share a Notion page/template I created today with those of you who are interested in language learning.

If you are not familiar with Notion, no problem. By using this Notion page, maybe you will start liking it.

It is actually very simple, I have chosen ten French songs and put them into a Notion template I created. Each song I have organized it such that there is a YouTube video, and there is the associated French lyrics, and a convenient text box next to the lyrics so you can put anything.

The goal is to use this tool to review and learn these fun songs -- with the theme of Christmas and New Years.

To give you a visual feel of it, here are two screenshots that shows the starting page, and the sub-pages once you drill in:

So think of it as a stand-alone app that keep you focused on one task -- which is to study French.

This way it will glue you to this task without context-switching or doom-scrolling 😭

Notion as a tool needs some practice to get used to. I finally enjoyed using it once I started to create simple tools like this.

If you are interested in learning more about this tool, either to learn French, or to experience using Notion with this simple template, just follow either of the following links to get it for free:
