[CR] Faun - illustration process

in #ntopaz5 years ago

ntopaz-image-0Hello everyone, today I finished this illustration, I was a little unmotivated, but in the end I finished it, I decided to leave it bottomless, it was something that I drew mainly to practice.

I did the sketch almost a year ago on paper and finally I decided to digitize it, I used my digitizer tablet and the brush tool in photoshop, I have a special brush to draw, I modified some functions to meet my needs.

After having the sketch ready, the first thing I started to work on was the upper part of the body, mainly the face, adding a bit of light and shadow, then I painted the lips with a soft brush with low opacity and modified the color with the tool "curves"
Then add details to the eyes.

then I added color to other parts of the illustration using separate layers, while working on more details of the skin to improve depth.

Then I modified the position of the horns and began to give more details to the metal parts.

Next, add a little shine on the skin and clothing, plus work the details on the horns.

The next step was to define more the paint of the weapon and add more visible shadows on the body.

and finally draw all the details of the hair and improve the appearance of the metal parts.

I hope you like it
Thanks for the support! <3

The character design is beautiful. Her weapon is cool.
But the outline of the illustration is a little weird, especially the line on her rib. 😜

Ahh I kinda dig the shading and colors I did to the ribs! However I'm totally guilty on the anatomy of the hand. Im planning improving this as previously commented indeed!

Hai @genyway, this is a nice character illustration
It does have some anatomical inaccuracies on the hands but overall looks good 😉🎉

Yes, I noticed, it even seems that I put a finger in his left hand, I plan to improve it, including some lines and some other important details.

Interesting character, and I also like the weapon.

I do agree with what @melooo182 said. The anatomy needs some tweaks but overall it's a pretty cool drawing.
