A dog’s shoulder blades are unattached to the rest of the skeleton to allow greater flexibility for running.
I didn't know that before, thank you.
Great drawing, @scrawly! ;-)
there were spiders here but now there are only fuzzies :D
You have a point there. I meant no harm. I'll remove that comment.
Empathy goes a long way :> Thanks heaps !
Sometimes my unfiltered brain gets me into trouble. I guess that's why I can't hold a girlfriend for more than 60 days. :-P
ah, i dont assume the worst :> people stumbles. i ... i stumble a lot.
it's nice to have people around me who forgives and can talk things out without judgement. so i too, try to forgive and to talk things out without judgement :>
Oh was it you who said the dog thing? ha ha. No worries, I think when we type our conversations the subtlety of our meaning is lost and sometimes things that are silly or a joke seem like a serious thing only because we are just reading it with the wrong inflection. :)
No no, thankfully that person is not trin XD. He said something else, but as you can see, he is polite enough to retract his comment, unlike that weirdo.
Thanks trin ;).
Very beautiful drawing, love the arrangement and the girl and the doggo as well :D Lovely lines and delicate shading <3
She looks so prim and happy and why not celebrate things that make people happy !
That guy sounds like an insecure and petty person who probably have a lot to overcompensate in his life :D :D :D
Love this piccar, @scrawly ! Y...you should colour it <3
Yeah, unfortunately some people have weird hate boner to cute things. Maybe everything needs to be edgy and badass for them all the time.
I'm with the girl here, who cares about them XD.
Thank you spider ^_^.

WOO HOOOO PUPPY'S AND GIRLZ IS THERE A BETTER COMBO THAN THAT? I DON'T THINK SO
Ehem, ok, i think i drank too much coffee. Anyway, really amazing drawing scrawly, your style always knocking me off HAHAHA
Awwww yeah! Don't apologise, I love getting comments that are filled with excitement ^_^.
Thank you :D.
Soooo cute. I'm a guy with a tiny dog so no stereotypes. Great art. I love the dog's expression. You really captured the joyful spirit of the little beast! ;-)
You have a doggo?! I didn't know but that's awesome :D.
And you are right, though they might look like an angel, they can be quite a naughty little beast XD.
Thank you jrej ^_^.
True that! Here's my little beast. I posted a few photos for a contest! https://steemit.com/dpet-xmas/@jrej/dpet-x-mas-contest-2018
Such a beautiful drawing @scrawly.
The sepia tones give shades of classical portraiture. The face on the young girl is lovely, filled with a wide-eyed wonder and she's really there with both her dog and the person taking her portrait. And doggo is so happy and content just to be there with her.
Our male and female ways of thinking are so outmoded. Pink and pretty, soft and cuddly for 'girls' with blue and stately, tough and emotionless for 'boys.' We know it's ridiculous but these patterns have been ingrained through generations and so it's hard for some to see through them.
Anyway, your young lady is quite unperturbed because she definitely sees through it all. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
Yes, you are very right. I know that we have been taught all these gendered values since very early on and quite a lot of people can't escape to think this way, but I'm glad to find some people who can do so and free themselves from the outdated expectation.
Thank you Ally, what a beautiful comment <3.
I like the young lady's features.
~overall, very cute and happy. ¦:^)
Thank you, Alenia :D.

I think it’s funny that you have the dog panting. It’s funny because that’s exactly how I remember my sisters Pomeranian, Baron. He was a great little dog. We watched him several times when they would go on vacation. I think he died at age 16 or 17. He lived a very long time. Eventually lost all of his hair except for some around his neck ankles and tail. He looked like a little lion. I will have to see if I can find a picture of him tomorrow. Cute drawing. Brought back a lot of memories for me… Thank you!
Haaa! You notice it, that means you really know a lot of doggoness, which is not surprising at all coming from you :D.
I am so conflicted about that, since I know they look really happy when they are "smiling" but I know that they're actually panting, which is not good for them if they do it all the time. Thankfully my doggos are not panting often, only when they've just been running around, which is kinda bad for photos but good for their health. A trade that I'm willing to do any day ^_^.
Thank you :).
I think I would have upfront laughed raucously at that guy before staggering away. Either that or a deadpan “rightio then” and found someone more interesting to talk to (yes I am an awful person).
Still think you should do a manga 😆 alternately I’d be pretty easily convinced that this is a portrait of a person that you know and her pet pupalup.

Yes, if I know beforehand of his ludicrous opinion, I would rather troll him instead than have a convo with him. Alas, I am one of those who are not sassy enough to change attitude midway.
Thank you fyn, and you are not awful at all ^_^.
that girl has a cute pet rat :) (I joke of course)
Your face is a joke!!! >:D
touché
I did have a super cute pet rat when I was kid, I rescued him from a (short) life where he was destined to be fed to a boa constrictor.
Wow, amazing drawing, @scrawly.
Thank you marya :).
Well, you know I LOVE a good dog drawing! And of course dogs are for everyone! Was this 'friend' American? As that sounds like an American thing to say.
I think there was a Simpsons joke about Dogs being boys and Cats being girls so maybe he got mixed up with that one ;)
Wonderful drawing and I LOVE pomeranians. I've always had lap dogs, like my little Monty the Chi, but also appreciate a good walking bigger dog like Ivan the dog. Though I often find the smaller the dog the sassier the atitude. My Chi has charged full speed with great confidence at a Great Dane and oddly enough the big dogs always give way to the little ones, like they feel bad they are so tiny so they let them 'think they are so tough'.
Great one today @scrawly.
Thankfully he's not my friend, just an overfriendly stranger that I met at the mall, so I don't know where he comes from, though it's likely that he's Australian... ugh.
Oh I didn't know Simpsons joke about that either :o!
Yes, I also like doggos, big and small, they are wonderful creatures <3. I like cats too, I don't see why we have to choose... it's as silly as choosing fruits or veggies.
Thanks Donna :).
that beautiful drawing just needs to be placed with an oval mahogany wood frame decorated with Victorian design
What a kind comment, thanks inu-jim XD.
Bad ass doggo. You can tell the bad ass ones cuz they don't need size to back 'em up.
Girl is okay too. Maybe hiding badassness. Not sure at the moment.
LOL what a great comment...no, should I say, what a stantastic comment XD!
Pecking sexism, wonder how that clo- sorry clowns have dignity unlike that taffer. Still, how can that person live life so narrow - well never will now.
Anyways, love the drawing here; very life-like and ready to be coloured like a cartoon-realistic Da Vinci painting for posh Victorian lassies. I mean I could go from there but Imma in a squeeze but I wanna comment >.<
Yeah, some people are just ... ?_?
I don't understand what are they doing and why they don't consider other people's feeling before they speak and act. Ahh well, who cares about them!
Thanks Felix :).
