Hey everyone, this is rather interesting to see, turns out the number 1 enemy of bees are ants. Hive beetles, wax moths and a few other pests exist but bees manage them well and control even eliminate, however with ants, they only have the 'fanning defense' as in this video.
If there are too many ants sadly the swarm will leave as has happened to us a few times before. We have just recently discovered a cheap way to kill ants without poison, diatomacious Earth of all things, we plan to give it a try soon, but for now this is how the bees take care of them...

Good luck with the DE, we use it around the house to keep out unwanted critters like spiders, roaches, ants, and the ever so loud crickets during their summer love- song- fests!
