What is missing from steemit?
Steemit can be regarded as the greatest breakthrough in the development of cryptocurrency technology. Steemit endeavors with systems and rules in its platform to benefit all its users. Not only the side (developers) who benefit, but users also sprayed, fortunately. In a way, there is a process of symbiotic mutualism in this platform.
In general, steemit efforts to bring social media in the form of blogs certainly not an easy thing. Moreover, steemit is also coupled with a very good security system. This is the result of hard work and smart work done by @and and @ned so as to produce smart media tokens that we use today.
However, some people who have played a role in the blog world can certainly see that steemit has a resemblance to other blogs. Such as menu bar, content, URL address, domain name, and share button. Even if the domain name is given completely from the steemit side, at least this blog account is entirely the privilege of steemit users who must be kept secure by themselves. That is, any positive and negative impact of steemit is the responsibility of the user. Steemit gives it free, but the results that users get are very meaningful.
I write this content based on my own opinion while using steemit. If the reader is already using steemit first, maybe this content is normal. In these two days, my attention focuses on the content pages I create. My habit after posting a content refreshes the page and see the bottom of the content, there is already upvote or not. I think everybody also does that.
Indirectly I also see some of the symbols or tools provided at the bottom of the content are reply, the number of comment symbols, the symbol of the number view, and symbols to share content pages that we have to other media like facebook, twitter, linkedin, or a chain symbol to copy the links.
MISSING SYMBOLS AND ITS MEANING
Now there is a slight change in the content page display, there is no longer an eye symbol. As we all know, this eye symbol serves as a notice to the steemian, how many other people have seen the content that we post. That is, the number that appears on the view symbol is the same as the number of visiting steemians on our content page. The more people who see our post, we do not necessarily get upvote that much anyway. It could be those who see only as a 'peep' only. Positive thinking is, they may run out voting power and bandwidth.
In the world of blogs, the more the number of visitors who visit it will be the better the reputation of the blog. In other words, the number of the many describes the interest of visitors to the content presented in the blog is also getting bigger. In Steemit itself until now I have not know the usefulness of this view symbol. Is only just a notice or there is meaning behind it. When users want to know anyone who has seen his post, it also can not.
What is this vagueness of utility that makes this view symbol removed from platform steemit? Or is it because the steemit platform is still in beta form so it needs to be lightened so as not to spend a lot of effort in developing this platform?
Whatever the reason of steemit, hopefully, the changes decided by the developer always with the aim of improving the convenience of all users steemit.
TWO WALLET SIDES
As we know, steemit provides wallet facilities that are very transparent for its users. Anyone can see the contents of another steemian wallet. Yes, just can see. Although only visible, I think this facility is very remarkable. From this wallet menu, we can find out how many tokens in the form of steem and steem dollars (SBD) owned by someone else's account. We can also see the strength of steam or steem power that other people's accounts have.
On the other hand, this facility can be a trigger for the emergence of crime in the world cryptocurrency. Those who have expertise in hacking will try to use various ways to reap the profits instantly from the results of the efforts of others. As is often the case recently, the loss of steemian rewards stored in the wallet. Can be imagined how upset if the results of our efforts so far in an instant lost.
These hackers are very smart to attract the attention of steemit users to follow the covert instructions they are planning. This instruction is often packed in a link-shaped comment. Now, we call it as phishing. For the insensitive steemian, it is very likely to be a victim of criminals in this virtual world.
Therefore, as a steemian should not be too easily persuaded by steemian or other new people known to use steemit. Always discuss with other steemians you already consider close or can also discuss with the community.

MAY EYE SYMBOLS (VIEW) WILL BE ADDED IN WALLET MENU?
In my opinion, burglarized a steemian account by the hacker because the amount of reward (steem/SBD) contained in a steemit account is too tempting. The analogy is as simple as this. Banks that are closed and equipped with guards and security teams are still subject to theft. Moreover, where the money that can be seen and known in detail by others, would make people more interested in having it.
Another example, thieves tend to steal people who come out of a bank/ATM. This is because they know that in the wallet or bag of the person there is money with a lot of money. Plus their actions might have been done with surveillance in advance.
In short, the more transparent you save money, the greater the risk of theft. In steemit, there is no track recorder of people who visit the wallet. Everyone could just visit the steemian wallet and leave without leaving a trail. Well, this gap is an opportunity for hackers.
If the only steemit provides the facility view on the wallet menu, of course, the risk of loss of effort can be minimized. Whether by entering username and password first before entering someone else's wallet page, or logging another steemian visit to the wallet menu as an activity so that it can be viewed in history. This track record is also applied to third-party sites that participate with steemit.
So, in case our account becomes a victim of the hacker, we can see the account that moves in our wallet menu and we can do the investigation of the visited accounts by viewing its history.
If you do not return the results, at least you can share your experience to another steemian to be more careful of accounts that hack your steemit account.

Apakah yang hilang dari steemit?
Steemit bisa dianggap sebagai terobosan terhebat dalam perkembangan teknologi cryptocurrency. Steemit berupaya dengan sistem dan aturan dalam platformnya untuk memberi keuntungan kepada semua penggunanya. Tidak hanya sebelah pihak (developer) saja yang diuntungkan, melainkan penggunanya juga kecipratan untungnya. Bisa dibilang, ada proses simbiosis mutualisme dalam platform ini.
Secara umum, upaya steemit menghadirkan media sosial dalam bentuk blog tentunya bukan hal yang mudah. Apalagi steemit juga dibarengi dengan sistem keamanan yang sangat baik. Inilah hasil kerja keras dan kerja cerdas yang dilakukan oleh @dan dan @ned sehingga menghasilkan smart media token yang kita gunakan saat ini.
Bagaimanapun itu, sebagian orang yang pernah bermain peran di dunia blog pasti dapat melihat bahwa steemit memiliki kemiripan dengan tampilan blog lainnya. Seperti adanya menu bar, konten/isi, alamat url, nama domain, dan tombol berbagi (share). Meskipun nama domain yang diberikan seutuhnya dari pihak steemit, setidaknya akun blog ini sepenuhnya menjadi hak pengguna steemit yang harus dijaga keamanannya secara mandiri. Artinya, setiap dampak positif dan negatif dari steemit menjadi tanggung jawab pengguna. Steemit memberinya cuma-cuma, tetapi hasil yang pengguna dapatkan sangat bermakna.
Konten ini saya tulis berdasarkan opini saya sendiri selama menggunakan steemit. Jika pembaca sudah lebih dahulu menggunakan steemit, mungkin konten ini adalah hal yang biasa. Dalam dua hari ini, perhatian saya berfokus pada halaman konten yang saya buat. Kebiasaan saya setelah memposting sebuah konten adalah merefresh halaman tersebut dan melihat bagian paling bawah dari konten, sudah ada yang upvote atau belum.
Secara tidak langsung saya juga melihat beberapa simbol atau tools yang disediakan di bagian bawah konten yaitu reply, simbol jumlah komentar, simbol jumlah view, dan simbol untuk berbagi laman konten yang kita miliki ke media lain seperti facebook, twitter, linkedin, atau simbol rantai untuk menyalin link.
SIMBOL YANG HILANG DAN MAKNANYA
Sekarang ini terdapat sedikit perubahan pada tampilan halaman konten, yaitu sudah tidak ada lagi simbol mata. Seperti yang kita ketahui bersama, simbol mata ini berfungsi sebagai pemberitahuan kepada steemian, sudah berapa banyak orang lain melihat konten yang kita posting. Artinya, jumlah yang muncul pada simbol view itu sama dengan jumlah steemian yang berkunjung pada halaman konten kita. Semakin banyak orang yang melihat postingan kita, belum tentu kita memperoleh upvote yang banyak pula. Bisa saja mereka yang melihat hanya sebagai ‘pengintip” saja. Berpikir positif lah, mungkin saja mereka kehabisan voting power dan bandwidth. Hehe.
Dalam dunia blog, semakin banyak jumlah visitor atau orang yang berkunjung maka akan semakin baik pula reputasi blog tersebut. Dengan kata lain, jumlah yang banyak tersebut menggambarkan ketertarikan pengunjung terhadap konten yang dipaparkan dalam blog juga semakin besar. Di Steemit sendiri sampai saat ini saya belum mengetahui kegunaan dari simbol view ini. Apakah hanya sekedar pemberitahuan saja atau terdapat makna di baliknya. Ketika pengguna ingin mengetahui siapa saja orang yang sudah melihat postingannya, hal ini pun juga tidak bisa.
Apakah ketidakjelasan kegunaan ini yang menjadikan simbol view ini dihapus dari platform steemit? Ataukah karena platform steemit masih dalam bentuk beta sehingga perlu diringankan agar tidak menghabiskan banyak tenaga dalam mengembangkan platform ini?
Apapun alasan pihak steemit, semoga saja perubahan yang diputuskan oleh pihak pengembang selalu dengan tujuan meningkatkan kenyamanan semua pengguna steemit.
DUA SISI WALLET
Seperti yang kita ketahui bersama, steemit menyediakan fasilitas wallet/dompet yang sangat transparan bagi penggunanya. Siapa saja dapat melihat isi dompet steemian lain. Ya, cuma dapat melihat. Meskipun hanya dapat dilihat, menurut saya ini fasilitas yang sangat luar biasa. Dari menu wallet ini kita dapat mengetahui berapa banyak token dalam bentuk steem dan steem dollar (SBD) yang dimiliki akun orang lain. Kita juga dapat melihat kekuatan steem atau steem power yang dimiliki akun orang lain.
Pada sisi lain, fasilitas ini dapat menjadi pemicu munculnya kejahatan dalam dunia cryptocurrency. Mereka yang memiliki keahlian dalam meretas akan berusaha menggunakan berbagai macam cara untuk meraup untung secara instan dari hasil usaha orang lain. Seperti kasus yang sering terjadi belakangan ini, hilangnya reward steemian yang tersimpan di wallet. Bisa dibanyangkan bagaimana kesalnya jika hasil dari jerih payah kita selama ini dalam sekejap saja hilang.
Para peretas ini sangat pintar untuk menarik perhatian pengguna steemit agar mengikuti intruksi terselubung yang mereka rencanakan. Intruksi ini sering kali mereka kemas dalam sebuah komentar berbentuk link. Bagi steemian yang tidak peka, sangat berpeluang menjadi korban pelaku kriminal di dunia maya ini.
Oleh karena itu, sebagai steemian jangan terlalu mudah dibujuk rayu oleh steemian atau orang lain yang baru dikenal dalam menggunakan steemit. Selalu diskusikan bersama steemian lain yang sudah anda anggap dekat atau juga bisa diskusi bersama komunitas.

MUNGKINKAH SIMBOL MATA (VIEW) AKAN DITAMBAHKAN DI MENU WALLET?
Menurut saya, dibobolnya akun seorang steemian oleh peretas dikarenakan jumlah reward (steem/SBD) yang terdapat dalam sebuah akun steemit terlalu menggiurkan. Analogi sederhanya seperti ini. Bank yang tertutup dan sudah dilengkapi penjaga serta tim keamanan saja masih menjadi sasaran tindakan pencurian. Apalagi tempat penyimpanan uang yang isinya bisa dilihat dan diketahui secara rinci oleh orang lain, pasti membuat orang semakin tertarik memilikinya.
Contoh lain, pencuri cenderung melakukan pencurian pada orang yang keluar dari sebuah bank/ATM. Hal ini karena mereka tahu bahwa dalam dompet atau tas orang tersebut terdapat uang dengan jumlah yang banyak. Ditambah lagi tindakan mereka mungkin saja sudah dilakukan dengan pengintaian jauh-jauh hari.
Singkatnya, semakin transparan tempat anda menyimpan uang, akan semakin besar resiko terjadinya pencurian. Di steemit, belum ada perekam jejak orang yang mengunjungi wallet. Setiap orang bisa saja mengunjungi halaman wallet steemian dan pergi tanpa meninggalkan jejak. Nah, celah ini yang dijadikan peluang bagi para peretas.
Seandainya saja steemit menyediakan fasilitas view pada menu wallet, tentu resiko kehilangan hasil jerih payah dapat diminimalisir. Apakah harus dengan memasukkan username dan password terlebih dahulu sebelum masuk ke halaman wallet orang lain, atau mencatat kunjungan steemian lain ke menu wallet sebagai sebuah aktivitas sehingga dapat dilihat di history. Rekam jejak ini juga diterapkan pada situs pihak ketiga yang berpartisipasi dengan steemit.
Jadi, seandainya akun kita menjadi korban dari peretas, kita bisa melihat akun yang beraktivitas di menu wallet kita dan kita bisa melakukan investigasi dari akun-akun yang berkunjung tersebut dengan melihat history nya.
Jika hasil jerih payah anda tidak kembali, minimal anda dapat berbagi pengalaman ke steemian lain agar lebih hati-hati terhadap akun yang meretas akun steemit anda.
