Greetings and welcome to my HIVE blog!
I feel like I started off on the wrong foot on HIVE (and left Steemit on bad note) so I wanted to make amends and introduce myself formally on HIVE.
Me by the Baltic Sea, beard has grown a little since then.
I grew up in Wisconsin, USA in the 90s, joined the Army, went to college, met my wife (a German), had three kids, then in 2017 we immigrated to Germany. We live in the northern most state near the Baltic Sea so there you have it @balticbadger.
In my blog you will mostly find articles related to us living in Germany, with the occasional military piece, Native European traditions, homesteading, STEM, and of course metal detecting.
On Steemit I was pretty active and was involved with many groups and started some of my own. One thing about me is I choose family first every day. So sometimes I have to step away unannounced or stop posting for a week or two. I haven’t vanished yet, and I probably won’t!

We have twin girls (3) and a disabled son (almost 5) and have a lot on our plate. We also have a dog and 6 chickens.
Our dog, Moon. Some may remember his name was chosen with the help of a DPoll last summer.
I have met some great people on the Steemit blockchain many have left and many have made it to HIVE which I am happy to see. A big joy for me is minnow support and supporting groups who do so as well and once my airdrop is sorted out after the hardfork I plan to support those groups once again on HIVE.
I am proud to say I started the @stem.curate project a few months ago and sad to say it has died off with the steemit blockchain but once tribes migrate to HIVE I plan to have the curation up and running again.
There are some great witnesses working hard on this blockchain and I expect great things from them. It is exciting to see things play out and I am ready to settle down here.

well I kind of ghosted from steemit for a few weeks then when I heard I got blacklisted from the airdrop I was pretty mad. But everybody reassured me it still be fixed. I am still writing, it I have been focusing more on my guitar lately and that drains the creative tank pretty fast! Nice to see you here too! 😁
