I woke up from a drug-induced coma, but a coma is only the beginning. Whatever they're doing to me is far more sinister. I have no idea what is going to happen as the mysterious drug begins its full course. I have no idea what is going to happen to me, but with my new form, I will now be able to explore the world in all its many facets, and I will provide a different perspective than do the scientists ever might have imagined.
Its a shame I'll be giving up my ability to ever go back to my old life, but it's an inescapable fact that I will never become human again. I might not be able to return, but now I can explore, and my first place to explore is the vast oceans of my new 'home'. Ah, it feels good to be free again. Its great to be a mermaid!
The scientists will never be able to contain me, and no moment is lost on my part to escape and explore my new world. They put an implant into my arm while I was in a drugged coma, but I brush aside the soreness as I slip under the waves and surface.
I breathe in the nearest sea air, and as if new to this world, I swim off to explore the most curious things. I hear other mermaids calling in the distance and I swim towards them.
I knocked on random doors until I finally find one with an answer.
'Do you have my robe?'
'Table' I say with a grin.
'A table, right' the young woman says back. I press my hand to the door, fighting her for entry.
'I'm not going to let you in unless you can let me pay you.' 'Table...table' I say with a bigger grin, and she lets me in.
I crawl up onto the table and I feel her hands on my shoulders. They flutter up the back of my neck through wet hair and over the nape of my neck, with just the right amount of tenderness and just enough strength in her hands. I pull the towel away from my face almost reluctantly as the tension and excitement begin to build up.
I hear the first crack of the belt against my rear, followed by another crack and another. Between each crack I'm quickly racking up in my head some of the better seasons of "Dallas" along with numerous other conflicts that the Ewing family has caused all the way back to their humble Texas farm roots.
I continue to spark up my index finger and thumb in front of my mouth and blow the smoke out from under my breath. I can't burden a stranger with my story, and as the glass of ice water is placed onto the table in front of me, I spark it up and inhale the esmoke with the ripples of the water.
I hear a couple words float over to me from across the room.
I shrug my shoulder in response, feeling my wet hair slide away from my ear and down my back.
'Table' I say again, while slowly sliding the towel off my upper body and over my shoulders and my face. I take a deep breath and slowly exhale the smoke over my face and over the glass of water. I have no idea when this room will be reopend, and I will be ever ready for anything when this happens.
