We are part of a culture and World that views giving up as a cardinal sin. From birth we are encouraged to suck it up and play ball. There comes a time when giving up makes sense, and counter to commonly held beliefs is wise.
When should one give up? After giving it their all, assessing the total cost of their actions and deciding to take another road.
Giving up on a project is not abandonment. When we try things, we grow in a thousand small ways that follow us through life.
Sometimes, giving up is a way to move forward. When faced with an immovable block, one may be wise to step back and reassess the current path forward. A costly hobby that robs us of our resources and pride should probably be given up. The more the live, the more we learn.
