I was always afraid of insects, any kind of them.
Spiders, beetles, flying insects, and all kind of them that were not butterflies..
That started to change a while ago.
I started taking many images of nature around me. I started noticing all living things on the plants and weeds around me.
I started seeing that there was a whole world that I had no idea about. Unexplored. Unknown.
But how can we respect something that we know so little about?
How can we value something that we only look but not see?
How can we inspire other people to love nature when we know nothing about our ecosystem?
I started thinking some thoughts (!) and shooting some shots too!
I started from the sweetest creatures that you can easily photograph.. They do not move a lot and they are so photogenic :) Ladybirds!
After a short while, it all came just naturally. There were more than lady bugs outside. I learned to be patient, quiet, still and also fearless if I wanted to take a nice shot. I only shoot with my smartphone, so I have to be real close to my subject (meaning just a few centimeters away!)
So imagine me .. trying to come as closer as possible to this spider!
If I would even think about it in the past, I would die of fear. And look at me now!

Do you .. know your fears? Thinking of it, maybe the most important thing is to .. identify our fears. Sometimes we got it all wrong, and we have a wrong conception about what we are afraid of.

Trust me, I still hate insects except ladybug, I love it because of its cuteness. Well, I can understand your feeling and what you are trying to express. Yes, we never notice little things, we look at them for once but never notice them closely but they are helping our ecosystem, they are saving our world.
I have written a sentence in one of my posts where I said, we love roses, we admire roses but we never notice wildflowers because they never bloom to get our attention, they just bloom to make the world beautiful but it's our fault we never admire them...
You are absolutely right! I love that sentence 💙 And you know what the most important is? That they really don’t care, they love being free and are not jealous of the lovely rose 🌹❤️
